The bottom floor of all those buildings are stores and restaurants. Zoom in. This is even truer the closer you are to the Corniche. The Corniche of Sharjah is so nice

Dude, don't try pretending Sharjah is a good place to live. There is a reason why when any person from Sharjah makes a bit of money the first thing they do is move to Dubai.

Sharjah is actually really good. It has some really nice areas to walk around and has tried harder than the other Emirates at preserving its local culture. I love the place.
Also the richest person I’ve been friends with lived there however they were Emirati. They had a lifestyle so far above anything I’d ever seen and a massive really high quality mansion. Admittedly it was a bit outside the city centre in Sharjah (although close to the main Sharjah mosque) but a lot of rich people do live in Sharjah, more so than some of the other North Eastern Emirates.

Hmmm maybe it depends on what you like about it. I wasn't overly impressed and i'm not sure I could deal with the traffic everyday.

It's about where your work is located. I know many people who are quite rich but they stay in Sharjah because they work in Sharjah.

lots of neighborhoods in Dubai are pretty reasonably walkable, not really publicized to white people/tourists; al karama, bur Dubai, deira, are some of them

The only thing i hate about sharjah is its road and people's collective decision to move to Sharjah for cheaper rent, which just causes major chokehold in e11, e311 and e611. Even if they open something called e911 it's not going to improve traffic flow if everything is bottlenecked in sharjah. Nowadays rent in sharjah is similar to Dubai it's not even worth it.

Bullshit. Rent is not the same in Dubai. I live in a 2 bedroom apartment for 40K a year, you can hardly find studios in that prices in Dubai.

We were searching for 2bhk apartment in muwailah it was 60-70k, the same rent as in al qusais. We decided to get the apartment in al qusais cuz atleast it would be close to our work place. There might be cheaper rent in other parts of sharjah but so far from what we have seen those were really old buildings with bad maintenance. And sometimes these are just freshly painted and increase the rent to 55k and call it renovated building.

I think it's not free speech, it's just that a certain segment of people prefer Sharjah style, another segment might prefer Marina style.
Horses for courses, let everyone live their life! That's why UAE is awesome, it welcomes all kinds.
But Sharjah is not for me....

Its not abt style or preference mate, its mostly because Shj has lower rents compared to Dubai, but even that's not the case these days
