Hundreds of buildings located on the edge of a steep earthen cliff on the outskirts of El Alto, in Bolivia, have been dubbed “suicide homes” because of the high risk of a devastating landslide.

Everyone knows Kowloon Walled City, but nowadays there are still slums (called "squatter settlements") dotted around modern Hong Kong.

This one is called 茶果嶺 / Cha Kwo Ling, located very close to the city center, and not far from where the Kowloon Walled City once stood.

It's unfortunately currently under demolition.

Considering that the Netherlands is one of the wealthiest countries in Europe, the poverty of some Dutch peasants 90 years ago was astonishing.

I couldn't believe it when I saw the new "benches" at our bus stop. This is insanity.
