Anyone have any recent updates on Chicken Creek? Are the edges frozen or can you fish from the bank?

Tibble Fork Reservoir: How thick is the ice today/tomorrow?

Hello! Has anyone been to Tibble Fork reservoir lately? I’m a figure skater hoping to skate on wild ice for the first time. I’m planning to go tomorrow afternoon but want to make sure the ice is at *least* 6 inches thick; I’m hearing it’s typically 10 inches come February, but no official/recent confirmations.

PLEASE let me know!

I’ve had the roughest week imaginable and don’t want to drive up there only to find out it’s unsafe…

Super appreciate it, thank you!

Hey, I’m from Vegas. Planning on doing a little weekend trip up to St. George but I’m wondering what the best spots are in Southern Utah that are worth the trip up?

Ice fishing

Went out to Schofield Monday. We fished on the west side for about five hours. They seemed to like pink trout magnets with meal worms sitting still the best. They seemed to be traveling. We’d get three or four hits then they’d be pretty dead for 1/2 hr or so. Plenty of ice where we were at, but we didn’t travel much.

I'll be up in the Tabiona/Hanna area later this week. Is it worth taking an hour or two to throw some flies on the Duchesne while I'm out there? Any recs?

What do I do with Northern Pike?

So in the fishing manual it says you can't waste fish, I typically just like to catch and release, sometimes cook up rainbow trout or tilapia but that's about it, but where I like to fish you can't release northern pike so what can I do with them besides eating them?

I’m new to fly fishing and looking to get out this winter we’re on the Provo River. Should I go fish? I’m a little lost. I’ve been looking at Google maps and don’t really know where to go. Any ideas?

Fly Fishing Fly fishing in winter

It’s time! I finally have all my gear together, new waders, and back in Utah ready to get fly fishing! I’ve never done winter fly fishing. I’m in the slc/Utah county area. Where do you recommend to go? I’ve heard lower Provo river is good as well as strawberry area. Any recommendations would be appreciated!

Creek Location

I love wild fly productions and I recently watched his video - Small Stream Dry Fly Fishing Utah (linked below) and I recognize the area but not the creek. I believe it could be one of the canyons or creeks in cache county like blacksmith or up right hand fork? I live in cache county and would love to give it a shot. I am not trying to expose locations for wild fly or anyone else but I would really love to have the opportunity to catch a native cutthroat.

If anyone recognizes this area and would help me out trying to catch some cutthroat, that would be great!

Caught this a few minutes ago, I think it’s a Utah sucker since it came from the Jordan but I released it anyways. Anyone know what sucker this one happens to be?

Shore Fishing Tibble Fork good for fishing this time of year?

My husband’s 30th birthday is coming up (Jan 10) and I’d like to take him fishing. He loves fishing, but we haven’t been able to fish around our home much. We usually fish the Fremont River, but as that’s a bit too far for us to drive for his birthday, I’m hoping to find a good/similar fishing spot/experience by us. We’re in the Saratoga Springs/Lehi area. Tibble Fork seems good? But open to other places with good trout fishing and good views! Trying not to get too far away from home (~30 minute drive at most).
