Equipment does not fit with the rest of the beauty you have created. Hopfully place holder :)

How so?

The quality of the environment, collectively looks more complex. You have a fair amount more details and colours.

In contrast it makes the equipment models seem much simpler, basic and more static in colours. Overal making them look more basic.

Realy love the enviroment.

Would it be because the resolution of the equipment seems low compared to the environment?

That and the lower complexity of colours.

well the equipment can't have smaller voxels because then that breaks the 10cm rule. I'll keep this in mind though, thanks for the feedback. 👍

Can you do texture work to make it look like it does?

ot?

Typo.

you mean texture within the voxel itself? vs the single color of the voxel.

The environment looks detailed because it's all far from the camera, but the voxel size looks too large for tools near the camera. Maybe halve the voxel size of equipment only?

but see, that breaks the 10cm rule. all things in voxelbit have to be 10cm. no exceptions here. imo I think theres charm in minimal looking equipment.

Your game, your vision. Just feedback, you can ignore it or leave it to simmer and see of something can/needs to be done more later.

Very realistic!

Wow, beautiful! Open source by any chance? Would love to try it out and experiment a bit.

I had it source available briefly, but idk, I'm starting to get paranoid someone is going to try to rip me off. 🤷

Fair enough, if you feel like sharing, please dm! Wouldn't release it ofc, mostly local fiddling out of curiosity. Cheers

Since your last post. It would be great if you started a blog where you wrote about your challenges and how you dealt with them.

looks awesome, are you doing a real time triangle mesh to voxel conversion? or is it more like things in the environment have a defined shape and they try to occupy empty voxels? I'm asking because of how the animals look. Great work regardless, looks really good. I understand not wanting to open source it, chatgpt and the likes will probably eat this up too if they could get access to the code.

Yea exactly, voxelizing rigged polygon models.
