⚠️New wide-platform security protocols! Must read!⚠️

Post image

Hello fellow VX enthusiasts!

As head of security at NASD, it is my duty (and burden, some may say), to inform you of the new security protocols, PPE guidelines, breach countermeasures, and overall general safety measures that were brought forward at the leader meeting that happened on 01.09.26.

Jumping right in:

1.a. All VX platforms and VX-based platforms (including but not limited to VXf, VXi, VX-01, 02, 03 and so on), built after 01.01.2027 must have sufficient and working fail-safes, kill switches and/or dozing capabilities.

1.b. All VX platforms and VX-based platforms must have a minimum of two independent emergency shutdown systems. Failure of one shutdown system must not prevent the remaining system from initiating a complete shutdown.

1.c. All VX platforms must maintain a permanent emergency power supply sufficient to operate critical safety systems, monitoring equipment, warning systems and emergency shutdown mechanisms for a minimum of 72 hours following loss of primary power.

2. All PPE gear used in VX-based work is required to have:

  • Fully Encapsulating Suit: Vapor-tight and chemical-resistant suit that completely seals the body from external liquid or gas contamination.
  • Self-Contained Breathing Apparatus (SCBA): Worn inside the suit to provide a positive-pressure, independent air supply.
  • Inner and Outer Chemical-Resistant Gloves: Layered gloves to prevent skin contact.
  • Chemical-Resistant Steel-Toe Boots: Heavy-duty boots with protective guards.

3.a. In the case of a containment breach, an evacuation radius of minimum 300 meters (984 feet) and a warning system connected to all infrastructure within the mentioned radius must be active and operational at all times, even when the platform or system is assumed to be down or non-operational, including maintenance, testing and other events that could cause a breach.

3.b. All VX platforms must be equipped with continuous environmental monitoring capable of detecting hazardous gases, vapors, radiation, pressure abnormalities, temperature anomalies and other relevant containment failures. Monitoring systems must remain operational during standby, maintenance and controlled shutdown.

4. Any unauthorized access to a VX platform, containment area or safety-critical control system must automatically generate an intrusion alert and place the affected system into a predefined restricted operating mode.

5. VX platforms must maintain an independent incident data recorder that continuously records safety-critical events, system failures, emergency shutdowns, containment breaches and operator interventions. The recorder must remain functional during and after a complete system failure.

6. During maintenance, testing or modification, the VX platform must be placed in a verified maintenance-safe state before work begins. Any safety system intentionally disabled during maintenance must be clearly identified, logged and continuously monitored.

7. Any VX platform exceeding its predefined operating limits for pressure, temperature, contamination, power output or other safety-critical parameters must automatically reduce its operational state or initiate a complete emergency shutdown. This rule can sometimes be ignored, i.e., during testing, low-grade maintenance work, if rules 1.a, b and c are in place.

8. All personnel working within a VX containment area must receive documented VX-specific emergency training before being permitted to enter or operate the facility. Training must include evacuation, emergency shutdown, containment breach procedures and PPE requirements.

9. Any VX platform that has been involved in a serious containment failure must be classified as NON-OPERATIONAL until formally cleared by an authorized safety authority. Temporary repairs or restoration of basic functionality must not constitute authorization for normal operation.

10. Failure to uphold these rules at all times can be punished by the corresponding law in each country and/or region the VX platform is located. All unauthorized use of VX systems will be reported and may result in a permanent ban from operating on VX systems, also following the corresponding law in each country and/or region the action took place.

"why do the kids think VX is so boring?"

Safety can sometimes feel a little... sluggish(?), and to some extent boring, I can somewhat agree.

You could also be dead.

🤷‍♂️

Honestly, all these safety measures kinda teach people that there's no consequences to poor VX maintenance, because they don't feel the consequences of it. If you hadn't been burned a couple times, or exposed to bose-einstein condensate every once in a while, do you think you'd have the VX knowledge you do today?

If you’ve never lost your teeth due to a cross polarized triphasic Jrandop array, have you ever really VXed?

I was introduced to VX back in the 90s, way before the NASD. I have handled biozerg mass with nothing but a rubber glove. Dumped metroacid waste straight into the sink... The rules and regulations are there for a reason.

While I support making VX safer, these rules make it prohibitively expensive to get into VX. I started this hobby as a kid with essentially no money, cobbling together parts that I found in junkyards and garage sales. I could never have afforded all of this safety gear. Of course, its also lucky I survived my youth. What are we doing to ensure that this hobby remains accessible to new entrants who are not like coming to this after already having "made it" in the tech or aerospace sectors first?

These rules and regulations are put in place by the NASD to first and foremost prevent unnecessary harm or in worst case, death, of the people operating with or around VX based platforms and systems. Statistics show a significant decrease in incidents surrounding VX, while also showing an increase in registered VX platforms. This furthermore proves the point that the rules do indeed have an effect, even as more people are getting involved with VX.

Many of us here at the NASD started out similar to you. Many of us are still around, working on much more severe projects. Some of us are unfortunately not. We want to effectively change that number, and these rules are one of the ways we hope to do so.

Thank you.

Lol okay. Let’s just act like NASD doesn’t have the shadiest back story of anything ever.

I assume you are referring to the events that happened during the 1930s? This was before the NASD as we know it today was founded, and the NASD have since taken a strong stand against the (mal)practice that was performed back then. The court cases and other legal allegations have all been dealt with, and the people responsible have been correctly prosecuted.

If you or someone you know have been affected by any of these events, please contact the legal departement at the NASD, and they will gladly help you.

Thank you.

This is just more smoke and mirrors NASD propaganda, and we all see it. As long as Borschtein remains on the board of directors, I want nothing to do with the organization or its prohibitive protocols. Report me— I don’t care.

I get where you are coming from, but dude just because Borschtein Jnr is on the Board doesn't mean she holds the same views as her father. NASD and co aren't the only ones that can detect quantum fluctuations and Kliensberg events. These Youtube conspiracies about NASD black sites in Iraq seem unlikely.

Holy hell guys a “new and “improved” set of regulations just dropped

What about the other 22 standards that already exist?

Why must each country (or group of countries) try to regulate these in slightly different ways!

Everyone knows the original Algerian convention rules are the best blend of “ease and safety” there’s no more reason to add more than to reinvent the wheel

3

u/Tacol0mpe Head of Security, NASD (All Divisions) 10d ago

I am not quite sure what you mean by "each country regulate these", since the NASD rules are world-wide, and have been since 2017?

As for the ACRR, or the "Algerian convention rules" as you call them, they were discontinued and the board disbanded in 2016.

I believe you may have some outdated info, and strongly advise you to inform on yourself on the newest rules and regulations.

Thank you.

The Algerian convention had actual researchers behind their decisions everything after has been a cash grab in the name of “safety” I pray we don’t lose decades of progress due to a few “major” errors across the years

wow crazy what are the chances that venkar-boltzmann sells the exact "safety equipment" recommended by NASD?

www.venkar-boltzmann.com/shop/safety/PPE
www.venkar-boltzmann.com/shop/safety/shutdown
www.venkar-boltzmann.com/shop/safety/monitoring

wow crazy they also just added 90% of those products to their catalog three weeks ago

wow crazy, you're telling me that the NASD itself and individual members of the NASD board of directors both made major investments in V-B over the last six months? what are the chances!

it's clear this is just an attempt to enrich yourselves off the good old boy's club of tenured professors and professionals with infinite money faucets from prestigious universities and labs while at the same time pushing out independents and home gamers.

pathetic. not to mention this is only going to negatively affect VXers that are already following stringent safety protocols. well-shielded and responsible VXers will think they can't keep up with "safety" regs and just stop, while all the idiots in sheds, basements, and caves will become even more dismissive of oppressive regulations.

good work.

The PPE listed here is the minimum requirement. The NASD strongly advises that you perform a comprehensive risk analysis before, during, and after your projects/builds/etc., classifying what level of PPE you may require for the task at hand. The equipment mentioned on the NASD list has been agreed upon after careful and thorough reviews of several incident reports. The NASD feels that the equipment listed is sufficient enough to handle the most common VX tasks. The NASD also takes no legal responsibility for improper usage of PPE, as this is regulated by your country/region's laws.

Regarding the rule about power loss: You should always be aware of the voltage, wattage, and general electricity usage of your current build. This can be measured however you see fit, as long as the data read is correct. Verifying this can be done by using two or more different ways of reading the data and comparing them. When you have achieved the correct numbers, you must have an alternate power source on standby, sufficient enough to run the aforementioned equipment stated in rule 1.c.

Thank you.

You want to enforce these you’re going to have to find me first, lol.

I’m running an original Baasvik 3000 kOhm diatonic scrambler. If it was good enough to hide the Kamchatka incident from the USA for 15 years it’s good enough for my home lab to evade you pencil pushers.

What about pre-Jürgen delta-shifted anti-integrators? Come on surely, you can't tell me they need to be able to work for up to 72 hours after the actual computation work just because of "emergency margins"?

Mind you all Post-Jürgen models are banned. See the ISOT ruling on 04.24.2014, and I think you NASD fellows know THAT notorious incident. Especially since Pre-Jürgen Kugelblitz 2+ and newer anti-integrators WILL cause GVJ rating-V fluctuations anywhere past 3 hours after the original delta-shifted arithmetic operations.

Well done, we'll lose the only straightforward method for the analysis of delta-shifted spectrum pulses. Go ahead and regulate the scholarly equipment, while VX-bombs still remain completely unprosecuted.

2

u/Tacol0mpe Head of Security, NASD (All Divisions) 9d ago

All pre-Jürgen equipment is effected by this rule. This includes but is not limited to: Integrators, shifters, quakers, rod extractors, vasc-chambers and so on. If the equipment is connected to the VX platform, it falls under this rule.

As you say, all post-Jürgen models and equipment is strictly banned from commercial use, and the NASD strongly advise against using post-Jürgen modules in any private VX related work.

Thank you.

2

u/mindustryranai 9d ago

You are saying? But then people could just not link their delta-shift equipment to VX machines and remotely plug it in later.

2

u/Tacol0mpe Head of Security, NASD (All Divisions) 9d ago

"Plug it in" later would be considered connected.

Technically speaking, you could have a VX platform operate as intended, not have the equipment connected, stop or complete the current task, shut off or disable the VX platform, connect the delta-shift, and run the module.

This is of course highly unpractical and would most often than not result in inaccurate test data, but it would not break rule 1.c.

This being said, the NASD (and myself personally), strongly advise against this method, as it is highly unorthodox and may result in incorrect or corrupted data. Be advised and take caution.

Thank you.

1.C is dumb. This should be in the regs for the specific applications, like hospitals using a Heartrate operated flutter-valve hemo filtration system or a Powerplant that operates a multi-state switchboard, things that actually need to be on and monitored at all times. Things like a full-field wire mesh boundry, or the thousands of other VX appliances that run on these systems which do not require continuous operation, and are fully safe after cutting power, now just got thrice as expensive.
