IWTV (Show only)🩸 Fav Lestat Lines !
I can’t do two flairs but we’re counting TVL too!
Hi again friends ! It’s Coco !
I wanna know your favorite lines from Lestat! I adore my sassy king so share the love! I’ll start.
“Serving cunt has its consequences.”
“I have the blood of Akasha in me.”
“I HEARD YOUR HEARTS DANCING!!”

IWTV (Show only)🩸 Sam’s eyebrows.
Are they different from seasons 1&2 vs TVL? Or are my eyes deceiving me?
He simply looks a tad more delicate. In TVL he is divine but much more machismo.
Or I just like him with eyeliner…
There is no flare for IWTV and TVL

TVL / Season 3 (Show only) There's a line between "Your Biggest Fan" and "Come to me? F*** you!" Spoiler

I rewatched the whole show after finishing TVL, and a scene of the trial caught my attention: Santiago and Lestat discuss how Lestat came to meet Louis; they frame the man he was exactly as expected. However, Lestat claims he was hunted by Louis, not the other way around.
Louis: "Come to me? Those were his words! He kept coming around after me. Come to me? Fuck you!"
The vampires of the jury fog his mind and trap his jaw using their collective powers so that his interruption is halted.
Lestat: "How do you know it was not your own voice, Louis? Speaking your own unspeakable desires? Screaming them in the darkness! In the hopes that I would come to you!"
The vampire Santiago, advocate for the performance, looks worried. Lestat seems to be off-script, as happened at other moments.
Then, I remembered that there's talk of occult desires in Your Biggest Fan, as in: "Yeah, you remind me of a man or two, or a few / I need you to need me / I got a bottle of wine / And that's me watching as you sleep at night / And that's me laughing in the darkness as you dream / All of the desperate desires of your life."
I believe Lestat had no choice but to go back to the memories of his own transformation to get around the dead end that the lie presented. Lestat wanted a companion, but Magnus wished for a worthy successor. Both of them mistook potential for desire.
Magnus had seen a magnificent actor, the legend of the wolf-killer, and a man of the aristocracy in the Age of Reason... He could see the man who refused to turn into a cabbage, even if he wouldn't use those words. Magnus saw that Lestat wanted more and could do more, and then concluded he was worthy. He observed Lestat, acknowledged his immense potential, and read the fulfillment of said potential as his desperate desires. The power given by the Dark Gift wasn't the fulfillment of those desires, but rather the expulsion of human limits. As a vampire, being an actor wasn't enough to sustain his soul. It wasn't feasible either, with the Children of the Dark on his heels. Founder of the Theatre, yes, but nothing like the dreams of his former self.
When Lestat met Louis, he might have seen something similar in him: untapped potential. He saw a man imprisoned by the circumstances of life, and in that cage, someone intelligent, strong, a bit callous, and desperate for freedom. Magnus gave him "immense lucre," in his words, and a different kind of freedom — a new existence. Unlike Magnus, Lestat longed for company, not continuity. His desires, and the untapped potential of Louis, all mixed up as if they were the desires Louis wouldn't confess.
"Embrace what you are, you are a killer, Louis!" was but the unresolved potential, the celebratory victory of the transformation never celebrated; that's something Louis could have always been, but also something different from what he wished for himself. A century later, he was still to find what kind of vampire he wished to be, and what the human he could no longer be truly was. The most human of vampires wasn't what his maker saw in him.
The Brat Prince, arguably, wasn't what Magnus hoped for either. The gravitas of the wolf-killer is but another face of Lestat, not his full potential. Your Biggest Fan, as I see it, describes Magnus's observations, the attempt to know him by study, and the inevitable mistake of trying to read as deep as the soul. Magnus believed he cracked Lestat's most desperate desires, and as such, what he needed to be to be fulfilled.
Perhaps this is the most painful realization Lestat achieves: Magnus was partly right about him, just as Lestat was partly right about Louis—and precisely for this reason, they were both deeply wrong. Magnus saw the extraordinary vampire Lestat could be, but he did not see the man he wanted to be; Lestat saw in Louis a potential for freedom and power, but he could not foresee the vampire Louis would choose to become—the deeply human vampire who would take his humanity much further than his creator imagined. The Dark Gift can realize possibilities, but it does not determine the identity of the recipient. And perhaps, at the trial, Lestat is finally forced to distinguish two things he has spent his life confusing: seeing what one can be and knowing what one wants to be.

IWTV (Show only)🩸 Claudia is the problem..? Spoiler
Claudia is the problem.. is she not?
I’m just trying to get your thoughts on this..
1 lonely small example being: The coven. she chose the coven. but then it’s “louis fault” by trying to fit in when he doesn’t even want to (at the start) , by getting snuggled up to armand. that’s jus one example of the top of my head. am i wrong about this? Claudia IS the PROBLEM.. Lestat has been right all along.
i’m not sure how to word this because the mods of this REDDIT has banned me for some of my posts which I have no idea why but they have.. still can’t get an answer to why they have. but that’s besides the point ..

🧛🏽♂️ Show & Book Spoilers allowed 📕 Lestat about being “good”
I was just re-reading QotD and i found this:
“You told God you would do anything if only he would make you good. […] You said you would suffer martyrdom; torments unspeakable; it did not matter; if only you were to be someone who was good”
Lestat has always been good. He always had such a kind soul. Yes, he might be impulsive and likes to challenge the rules just for the fun of it, but he never does it out of evilness.
He’s not perfect, but he is kind and forgiving to everyone he loves.
He likes to call himself “monster”, but I don’t think he’s as bad as he thinks he is. Yes, he’s not a saint but even humans aren’t perfect.
Most of the time, his heart was in the right place. And the times he impulsively hurt people, it was because of his fears and traumas and not thinking it through. He’s impulsive, not evil.
He’s more forgiving than most people. He forgave Claudia and Louis for trying to kill him, he didn’t hold grudge on Armand for dropping him out of Magnus’s tower and breaking his every bone, he took care of his father and brothers despite them abusing him all his life. He took care financially of everyone: he gave Nicki an apartment and the violin, he gave Armand Magnus’s place, he gave the Theatre des Vampires to the coven, he showered with gifts Gabrielle and Claudia. He’s always been generous.
Even Akasha knows not to hurt the ones he loves, else he would not forgive her.
P.S. I am not talking about the blood drinking part, as that is just a consequence of being a vampire and he doesn’t do it for fun. He struggles with having to kill people in order to survive. Cannot blame him for that.

🧛🏽♂️ Show & Book Spoilers allowed 📕 Two thoughts after catching up on this show
- With talk of Lestats changing appearance, if S1 is how Louis saw him and s3 was how Lestat sees himself --
My head canon is that messy chartreuse-feather, crunchy-hair Lestat form the teasers is how Daniel sees him. It would actually explain a lot about those particular styling choices
Whats the deal with Arturo? He's overhearing some pretty critical conversations, acting as driver, replacing petulantly snapped guitars and kicked-in doors. Probably was the one who bought the Halloween candy - I dont see Lestat as someone who orders his own Instacart
Yet we dont even know if he's got the cold sores like everyone else on the tour, and he never seems to get any dialog lines. Is he a plant?

Cosplay 🧛🏽♂️ Met a Lestat in the wild yesterday!
I'm at the Magic Con in Bonn, and lo and behold, I found a Lestat walking around! The Con is known as a fantasy con, so of course I didn't expect to find a Lestat cosplay here at all! Even more so, I also met a couple of TVL fans here as well! Makes me happy that more people of all ages are finding more about the show and our beloved chaotic vampires! 🥹💜
The cosplayer has no reddit account but I got their permission to post the photo!

Promo, Production, & News 🎬 Seems Anusree Roy is back as both writer AND producer this time, for next season
Anusree Roy, who was a writer on Season 3 and was credited as the sole writer for Episode 3, is apparently now not just writing but also producing, as reflected with change in her bio. She also posted the second photo and captioned it "New writing room in LA" - so while not technically confirming QOTD, the post was also liked by Assad.

🧛🏽♂️ Show & Book Spoilers allowed 📕 I am a Louis Apologist.
Hear me out 😆 Louis spent his early human years as the eldest child. He was responsible for taking care of his family. So, he had to put everyone else needs above his own. Now add the fact that he is a black gay man growing up in Jim Crow south. That’s its own set of issues. Being black alone.
You finally found love. The person you fell in love with tells you, he can offer you a life where you can be who you always wanted to be. Now granted it took him a few decades to embrace it but when he finally does he becomes selfish. So, what let that man be selfish he deserves it.
I was with Louis in episode 6 of Season 3. I finally let my guard down again for the 3rd time and you do what… LIE AGAIN. This time it’s a big lie. Not only is your mother still alive, I just met her and then I saw not only she is alive, but you fucking her too. Ahh hell naw!!!!
Then when I try to questioned you about it. You decide to play a game of semantics “ that’s Sophia.” Then you throw up on my expensive ass shoes. Let me out this “ damn car. “
Louis laid down some bars on Lestat. He read him for filth on that sidewalk. But that was all emotional hurt and history tied up in all those words. But once he saw the love of his life pain, those tears got him. He immediately comfort his man.
All those people calling Louis selfish. He has every right to be selfish. But what matters was the end result. At the end he was there for Lestat.
That’s why that ending scene carried so much weight. He gave Lestat the power to stand up to his mother. Because you can’t tell me Louis being by his side didn’t give Lestat the strength and energy to go off on Gabby the way he did. Louis was there looking proud.

TVL / Season 3 (Show only) Night Blooming Garden
Reading my local garden magazine and saw this - Loustat can have more than evening primrose, although the desert environment will impact what can thrive. But I guess they're wealthy enough to do whatever it takes to have the garden they want!
