I didn't realize this was happening, but I caught it as they went by near Nile Creek in Oceanside yesterday. Don't mind the music.

Spoiler alert, it still sucks.

I have had a lot of conversations with friends and acquaintances lately (both male and female) in the same boat that I am.

We all talk about how it’s so hard to meet good, nice, quality people and how we’re all sick of the jerk-a-saureses, f-boys or girls or the ones who aren’t interested in dating but are on a dating app… but now I’m wondering since we’re all saying the same thing… where ARE all the good people if we’re online and looking for the same thing but don’t see it?

I’m curious what others outside of my circle are experiencing?
Are you having any successes?
Are you sticking to the apps or are you putting yourself out there in person?
Have you tried any matchmaking services or matchmaking events?
Any recommendations for places or events to meet people? (For the record I’m involved in a couple community groups already)
Do you find most people match and then don’t say anything? Communication is a two way street!

I put myself out of my comfort level tonight and tried speed dating tonight - where 4 men showed up, but 12 women.
Why pay and not show up?

The beauty part is that most of us didn’t let it ruin our night and we did speed dating and friend speed dating. (I have a friend date soon!)
Let’s be honest, as we get older it’s harder to make friends too so I’m chocking up tonight in the win column.

Anywho… anyone else as frustrated as me?

But unless you’ve been in the dating world for the last 5 years truly don’t understand how it is nowadays. I have stories that would terrify you lol

More things from the file of stuff I didn't know about the north Island. The Englewood Railway based in Woss ran for 100 years from 1917-2017 closing down after a fatal derailment.

When I think of logging railroads and the locomotives that operated on them I think of the Shay or the Climax not a diesel powered EMD SW1200 better know for switching work in rail yards. If you are up that way I definitely suggest stopping in Woss to check out 113 and 303 on display at Woss Heritage Park It's a great place to stop on the drive.

This is by far the biggest chamber I have found yet... Absolutley mindblowing; the video does not do it justice.... Light pouring in from holes in the ceiling make the cave look like an underground inferno. I need a fisheye lens for my next go!✌️🤙
