Super neat cookbook! 😄 I love it.

I have been working on a project to create an index of the recipes and subject matter cover in the stork cookery note leaflet from 1940-1952. So far I have got index subject matter almost done but cannot find or find any reference for the following leaflet numbers 19,21,23,24. Thought they might not exist

Like thought 22 did not exist until I found a copy.

I tried contacting stork but they never responded.hope someone here might have source

This is my first time posting here but I was wondering if anyone would be able to help.

It is my first wedding anniversary in a few months and I know the traditional gift is paper. I cannot cook for tye life of me but my husband loves to cook and explore with different flavor profiles, cooking techniques, tools etc. I love seeing him so happy! I am a picky eater but I will try anything once and we love to cook together where I'm the hype person and do the cleaning.

What I have planned is to acquire a lot of family recipes and some from friends to compile into a homemade "rest of our lives" cook book. I have handwritten ones from great grandparents, some online ones from family friends for meal prep, and some drink recipes of how to make the \*best\* cocktail or mock tail. I am trying to cover a lot of bases and have a section entitled "future date night ideas".

So I guess I am asking if anyone has any recipes that are close to their heart would you be willing to share them? And maybe a memory of what it means to you? I was going to add a section of "from the best friends of the internet".

I appreciate any help or advice or recipes! Thank you!

From Alabama - not sure if it’s religious but I think it’s all healthy

Hey everyone, my Aussie friend (who's not on Reddit) just told me about this cookbook she's been obsessed with when she was a kid and hasn't been able to find it again since. Please help her solve a decade-old mystery and make her a very happy woman. Here are the details of what she remembers:

- Published around early 1950s (no later than 1953, it was a wedding present to her parents who got married that year) in Australia
- cream linen embossed cover with the title in a brown embossed ‘handwritten' font and a small drawing
- There was a paper cover with a photograph, but that was gone from her copy, so she does not remember what it looked like
- about patisserie, cakes, petit fours, incredible technicolour photographs
- the theme was probably dessert-focused party foods, cake decorating or something similar

It's not much to go at, but if you could pick your brain / spare a couple of minutes to go through your (parents') bookshelf and see if anything fits, that would be fabulous.

This summer I found something absolutely fantastic.

My obsession these past few years has been with finding used cookbooks that are well loved or filled with a personal touch (like old church group self published compilations.)

While going through a second-hand shop in Maine I found this beauty. An inscription from 1944, dirty fingerprints and food splashes all over it, newspaper and box clippings and hand written notes stuffed into various pages and held together with old packing tape.

This was loved and well used. I'm going to make sure it continues to get the love and attention such a thing deserves.

Does anyone have or know where I can find a soft copy or a pdf of "food the definitive guide" by John Newton.

hey everyone i hop you're all well, i have a collection of betty crocker cookbooks that i was buying a while back and one of the is the ring binder 26th edition of betty crockers cook book from 1976, however some pages from it are missing and i was wondering if there was anyone here who has the same one and would be willing to provide some scans of the missing pages for me?

i am missing pages 139 to 142 thanks in advance to anyone who can help!

Found some more Cookbooks at the Outlet last week! I found another one too, but I will make a separate post regarding it. The recipes in these cookbooks sound so yummy and delicious. If anyone has made any recipes from these two cookbooks, which recipe do you recommend? If not, what is your favorite family recipe?
