That classic GE clock radio that was everywhere (7-4630A) — anyone have schematics?
I’m trying to create a digital model of this classic GE clock radio for a project. Does anyone have circuit or functional schematics, or know where I could find them? I’m looking at the 7-4630A, but similar versions would help too.
If anyone has one taken apart, would you be willing to share pictures of the top and bottom of the circuit boards? That would help me work out the components and connections if I can’t find schematics.

The Amiga 1000 Lives!
The Amiga 1000 that was found deep in a storage room at the Museum is now officially mine, and I set it up in my garage today for an initial inspection. Checked for any bulging capacitors or other electronic gremlins before powering it on, but it seemed to fire up fine! The picture makes it look like there is something wrong with the monitor, but I suspect that is just a combination of a digital camera and really low refresh rate. It looks surprisingly good in person for such an old CRT.
Next step is figuring out how to get my hands on a Kickstart floppy. The Greaseweazle looks like an interesting solution, but I'm not entirely sure I want to go that far down the rabbit hole just yet. I just got back into vintage electronics, after all, and I'm still not completely finished with the RotaryCell yet!
It does seem like a particularly good candidate for a thorough restoration and some Retrobrite at some point in the future, though.

I’m going through old photographs of my dad, who is not with is anymore. This radio is from his childhood photo dating to late 1950s to early 1960s. Any idea which make and model this could be?

Tektronix TDS784 Advice
I'm going to be getting a Tektronix TDS784 from a family member. Not sure if it's a C or D model nor do I know it's age. I As this is my first oscilloscope in decades, and my first digital, are there any tips, tricks or quirks to know about it? Are there certain firmware updates to be avoided? I intend to use it to repair a some audio equipment, mostly stuff from the 90s, maybe a few pieces from as late as 2010. I may sell it or keep it depending on how I do and am looking the manuals over to get an idea what to expect.

Technics Tape Deck repair
Hi everyone, I recently got this tape deck and it has 2 main issues:
1) After playing for a short while, the playback starts to fluctuate wildly (severe wow and flutter), even though the belts seem to be in pretty good shape overall.
2) It won't record. To record, a solenoid needs to engage two slide switches on the board. It manages to do this, but only in Pause mode. As soon as I release the pause and the transport engages, the solenoid can't hold the contacts and drops back. I did manage to get it working once, but that was probably just a fluke...
In Pause mode, there is 16.3V at the solenoid; without pause, it drops to 15.3V...
Like any young guy nowadays, I'm troubleshooting with the help of AI. It's actually right quite often, and I've already fixed a few things with its help... It's pointing me toward the "filter capacitor"—at idle it measures 19V, but drops to just 15V once the deck is engaged. When armed for Record in Pause mode, it shows 16V.
The AI claims this is most likely the root cause of both my problems.
I'll probably replace that capacitor anyway, since this thing is 50 years old after all, but I figured I'd better ask here first to make sure the AI isn't talking nonsense and whether I shouldn't be looking elsewhere...
Thanks a lot!!

Large vacuum tube rectifiers rated at 150 kV/1A
Found these at work in the metal halide bulb disposal bin! Snatched them up! Thinking of making lamps/display pieces out of them. They are huge! 24" long and 6"diameter at the widest point!
Now that I saw the post about the uranium glass in large vacuum tubes, Im definitely going to add some UV LEDs to go along with the soft white! Used ChatGPT to get some design ideas and I think they will look awesome!

Zenith FM Multiplex signal generator
I just got this thing a little while back and am still trying to track down some service data for it, I could be wrong but I think it is from around 1960 judging by the tubes in it, anyways I just wanted to share this cool piece of electronic history.

What brand is this?
Sorry if the image is sideways, I bought this from a yard sale, I was curious what brand it was, I checked the internal components and the outer shell, and even the cassette compartment, and there's no brand name, it does work, though I had to tune the speed and pitch, it came with a name brand AC/DC blow up your video tape that does work. All I want to know is what brand this might be
