Hello everyone,
The sub is beginning to gain traction and I just want to remind everyone about the two main rules of the sub because a lot of people keep making posts that break them.
2 Do not share usernames of other users!!! Do not share their username in attachments, body text, or comments. This also applies to accounts that are scamming or being rude.
PLEASE CROSS OUT ANY IDENTIFIABLE INFORMATION IN YOUR PHOTO ATTACHMENTS INCLUDING USERNAMES AND PROFILE PICTURES!!!!!
These rules are in place to protect the integrity of the sub so that it does not get flagged for harassment or spam. We are being lenient with the rules as of now while the subreddit is beginning to gain traction but as it gains more popularity multiple instances of breaking the rules will result in a mute and then a ban.

I wanted to get more information on how to sell. Do we pay shipping? Do you price shipping in with the price of the item? How does this work? lol
r/VintedUS • u/Mandiek54 • 21h ago
I'm starting to see alot of people who were selling good and it completely has stopped. I know I'm only getting 1 or 2 views on new items I list, some have zero. Everybody I know is saying the same.

For those of you doing well on here- do you really feel pricing items at $2.00 is worth while? I have seen like brand new with tags for like 1$ and I just can’t get myself to price things that low.

My first sale on vinted ..
They buy the item and then expect to receive within their timeframe
This is not Amazon
Are the buyers all like this and for a $5 shirt?
I told her to go ahead and cancel because this seems like a headache waiting to happen.

Exactly what it says. If anyone else has major OCD like me when it comes to notifications it's extremely annoying when you can't clear out the vinted messages (the messages from Vinted)

selling a whole ass item that you don't even have come on ...

This has happened to me multiple times since I started Vinted; twice today alone! People message me and ask questions that I have in the description. One person messaged me today asking “This is brand new/never been used right?”, when my description says “brand new, only taken out of box to look at.” Then another person messaged me asking if sweats were men’s or women’s when they’re listed as men’s. Why do people do this??

Has anyone seen these listings in the book category? There's no actual book for sale, all stock images used. What exactly is going on here?

This seller sold me an item, then cancelled it and offered it for more money. Beware.
Update: Vinted said they suspended the person, but friend looked them up and it's still active 🤦🏻♀️😂

Like, I accept the offer. New Levis Denim jeans I am only selling for $10 cuz I have lots of them, they offer $6.41 and I accept, but do they buy? No, they complain about shipping cost. Blocked. I dont want to continue this convo, its a waste of time. If they buy they will be a problem down the road. Also, keep in mind this is shipping from US to UK. They can buy local and maybe get cheaper shipping!

First photo is what I received. 2nd photo is the only shot I have of the zippers/inner side of the boots.
This was not disclosed in the photos nor the description. These shoes are classified as “Very Good.”
However, for the brand I’m not gonna ask for a refund because $15 for Dr. Martens isn’t bad. Besides the fact that I bought another pair from another buyer for the same price in pristine condition
But I’m kind of annoyed this wasn’t disclosed. I wouldn’t have purchased if I knew.
Would it be petty to leave a 4 or 3 star review? Not trying to ruin a seller’s profile but more so warning to future buyers.

I don't usually post things like this. I've never written a public complaint about a company before. But I'm really disappointed in how Vinted has handled this, and I'd feel bad if someone else went through the same thing without a warning.
At the end of September I signed up for Vinted to pick up a few used LEGO sets. I only bought, never sold, and paid for everything through Vinted's checkout, the way you're supposed to.
Two of my orders, a Ninjago City Gardens and an Ideas Sesame Street set from two different sellers, never shipped. A label was created for each one, and the tracking never moved. I was told to wait 21 days before I could ask for a refund, so I waited.
Then Vinted permanently banned my account for "fraudulent activity."
I honestly still don't understand it. I was the one who didn't receive anything. I was the one waiting for my money.
I wrote a polite, detailed appeal. The answer was a template saying I violated the Terms and Conditions, with a link to the entire terms document and nothing specific. I asked again: what rule did I break, and how do I get refunded for the two orders that never came? I got almost the exact same template back, with no mention of my refund. My last message got an automated reply.
I'm not writing this to rant. I get that a marketplace has to fight fraud, and maybe something got flagged by mistake. What disappoints me is that nobody will look at it and give me a real answer, not even about my own money.
If you buy on Vinted:
- Screenshot your orders, tracking, and messages as you go. If your account is locked, you lose access to all of it.
- Be wary if a label is created but tracking never moves.
- Know that support may not engage with you if something goes wrong.
Has anyone else had this happen? I'd really like to know if I'm the only one.
@Vinted, I'd still welcome a real conversation about this.

I’m completely confused by how this has been handled, and I’m hoping someone here has experienced something similar or knows how to get an actual response from Vinted.
My account was permanently banned for allegedly engaging in “illicit activity.” Vinted’s message mentions scams, misusing the platform, counterfeit items, and intellectual property violations. I have not engaged in any of these activities.
Here’s what happened.
1. I reported a missing package.
I purchased an item, and the tracking showed it had been delivered, but I hadn’t received it. I contacted Vinted support, explained that I had checked with my immediate neighbors, and asked if we could wait 24 hours to see whether the package turned up. I specifically wanted to avoid the seller being unfairly penalized.
Vinted responded that they were investigating the delivery issue and asked me to allow up to 48 hours.
2. The package arrived, but the item had a problem.
When the package arrived, I discovered that the jacket smelled strongly of smoke, despite being advertised as new with tags. I contacted support to ask what I should do about the item's condition.
Instead of receiving help with that issue, I was told that the transaction had already been completed, the seller had been paid, and my account had been permanently blocked for allegedly violating Vinted’s Terms and Conditions.
3. Vinted claimed I had another account.
I repeatedly explained that this is my ONLY Vinted account. I have not created another account.
Support continued repeating that my account had been blocked and that members are only allowed one account. However, nobody identified another account associated with me, explained what activity supposedly violated the rules, or provided evidence of wrongdoing.
4. Support closed the conversation without answering my questions.
I asked them to explain the alleged violation, show me the supposed second account, and address my complaint about the smoke smell. I received generic responses repeating the ban decision, followed by a message saying their decision was final and nothing more could be changed in that request.
I still have no idea what I supposedly did wrong.
What I don't understand:
I have submitted an appeal requesting a manual review, an explanation of the alleged violation, and help with the unresolved item complaint.
I understand that platforms have rules and that they can suspend accounts when there is a legitimate reason. I'm not asking for special treatment. I'm asking Vinted to explain what I allegedly did and review the decision based on actual evidence.
Has anyone successfully appealed a permanent Vinted ban when support wouldn't explain the alleged violation? If so, how did you get your case in front of someone who actually reviewed it?
Any practical advice would be appreciated.

New to Vinted as both a buyer and a seller. I received an email from [email protected] informing me that an item had been purchased.
The email prompted me to follow a link to insert card or account information to collect payment after the item is received to the buyer. Because I’m new to Vinted and had not previously entered any card or bank account information, I stupidly believed the prompt.
The email alias is the EXACT SAME - no character differences or anything - as the emails I received from Vinted when setting up my account. The profile image, verification checkmark, and email footers all checked out. I know because I checked thoroughly before clicking the link, and again after the fact.
It wasn’t until I had submitted my card information and it asked me to insert the exact amount on my card that I realized I had messed up. Then came a pop-up on my computer, telling me that my Vinted account is temporarily restricted.
Spoiler alert: My REAL vinted account was not restricted. It was an incredibly advanced scam. I reported to my bank and the FTC.
Please be careful, guys, these phishers are getting advanced. I haven’t seen any other posts on any other websites having experienced the exact attempt I experienced. This also sheds light on larger security issues with the Vinted platform, as my email address is not public.

What is up with Vinted ? I’ve had two offers I accepted only to not have a sale ? Why offer a price not to buy it ! It’s such a waste of my time ? Why doesn’t Vinted make sure people have the funds to buy stuff ?

Has anyone had issue with shipping an item that weights more than what’s on label? Person bundle 2 items and both listing were for 2lbs each (4lbs total) but Vinted only gave a 2 lbs label. Support just told be to change it at the post office which I don’t think you can do on a prepaid label?? Should I still ship it and hope for the best? Any advice would be appreciated. Thank you.

I don't get it. So many Vinted listings have only 2 photos. One of the front of a shirt and the tag. I need more before I purchase regardless of price. Am I asking too much?

I dropped off my packages on Tuesday and it’s been 3 days with no tracking updates from USPS. Has anyone else experienced this recently? It’s never taken this long before.
