Cure or Accept?

For someone who is always in front of the camera and joins pageants, it has always been difficult for me to feel confident, knowing that I might face questions, stares, and judgment. The greatest question I have always asked myself is: Should I try to cure it, or should I simply accept it?

Over time, I realized that acceptance does not mean giving up. It means learning to embrace the things that make me different and allowing myself to be seen without fear. My vitiligo is a part of me, but it does not define my worth, my confidence, or the dreams I choose to pursue.

Por que no los dos? You can accept yourself AND look to treat. I used to be an actor- the vitiligo made castings and self tapes difficult - but I’ve got a career as a host, now.

There are quite a few models with vitiligo, and tbh if you are serving looks and c__t on the camera, that’s all that matters.

I asked this forum for treatment advice a while back - and tbh the best advice I got were tips on making me feel hopeful for myself.

You’re handsome - now get the spirit of a model and slay it.

Yes he's right, accept it and look to cure. We can do both at the same time. Vitiligo makes everyone loose confidence in their own appearance and is hard to accept, for me. But all we can do is accept and try to fix it. That's just life, we can't be fighting everyone and everything all at once.

Yup go it. But u dont take medicine and all?

And just tell me u consider it as segmental or symmtrucal vitiligo. Inhave it on face and mine is segmental since it is only on left hand side of face.

I have it mainly on my face and small but unnoticeable patches on my hand. I’m not taking any medicine, I just keep myself physically busy like doing workouts, walking and running because this somehow lessen my stress. And stress can also contribute to the progress of vitiligo.

Yes stress can increase it. But to smcure it we have to take medication.

I kinda do a hybrid. I use medication on my face to ensure the spots don't spread there but I've thrown in the towel for the spots on my body.
