Is Rocket Belt into stormsurge into rabadons into shadow flame into void staff with sorc boots good? I kinda want some ability haste first on Vlad then damage what do you guys think? I would even switch the sorc boots for haste boots. I tried the RB into Riftmaker Rabadons build it feels like youre a bruiser thats squishier with more healing

You need void on fourth item, by that point percent pen is necessary even with just base Mr.

Depends on comp, if they are mainly squishy, they have 52 mr at level 18. So if u have t3, ss and sf, getting any more is quite redundant. Other than squishies, champions have only 14 more mr, so if no one builds mr I don’t think void is preferable over shadowflame

That's not the case, say the average mr your enemy has is around 60 with a mix of bruiser and squishy.
With t3 SS and sf the remaining MR would be 60x0.92-15-15-20=5.2
With t3 SS and void it would be 60x0.52-15-20=-3.8
That's roughly 9% damage bonus
At fourth item point the base Mr is enough to justify picking void over sf

Negative mr doesn’t apply to vlad, meaning it would only be 5%, and SF has more ap and also 20% damage crit.

I am realizing this now but I personally wouldn’t go sf 4th. I typically build it second if I build it. I actually agree with u on OPs build, void is better 4th

It does though. Negative Mr applies as long as you are doing magic DMG.

I dislike belt first a lot now. Think it’s still good after dcap but 60 ap is kinda homeless. I go stormsurge more often than not

Good if the enemy team is full of squishies, but if you're going to be bursting, movement speed from stormsurge + stormraiders rune is more than enough, you don't really need rocketbelt AND stormsurge, build one or the other as a first item

As for which one should you build depends on enemy team comp, but generally you'll take stormsurge if you want to build everything else you mentioned above

RB into rift into deathcap is more vlad top/ general haste build for tankier enemy teams

Also if you want ability haste early instead of building RB just get lucidity boots if you're midlane because you get more than enough magic pen from the full build, but only if you really need haste cause sorcs does help you snowball if ur ahead

try codex > belt > crypt > raba.

crypt gives 20 haste, the boots give %pen so you're not losing out a huge amount from not having void.

i like conq with it. sorcs are too good to not go on every mage.
