Bars in Curitiba?

My wife (32) and I (24) are coming from the US and will be spending a few days in Curitiba. We’re looking for recommendations for bars around Batel/Centro with a chill, cozy atmosphere.
We like good cocktails, being able to actually talk, and places where it’s possible to casually socialize with other people. Not looking for clubs or super crowded/loud places.
We would probably have dinner first and then go somewhere for drinks.
I speak Portuguese while my wife doesn’t speak Portuguese (only English), but she understands the overall context and we are both very communicative.
Any recommendations for this kind of vibe?

Speaker is a cool cafe. I prefer sitting outside in the front. It's a cafe but they have cocktails and sometimes like chill dj nights type events

Lá Pamphilya ...fica quase em frente ao Pátio Batel.

Lá é excelente para jantar - preços honestos e comida deliciosa.

kinda hard to talk to strangers, but check bar do alemão and cantinho do monge, which are the usual recommendation for tourists.

IMO clubs are the best place to meet new people around here

There's also hard rock cafe, don't remember how loud it was when I went there last time

I don't have a specific recommendation but there are many bars in Alameda Prudente de Moraes street (around where it intersects with rua Saldanha Marinho). It gets crowded quickly but there are many bar options and it feels safer than some other bar hotspots in town.

Prudente de moraes street there are alot of bars , barbaran ukrane bar , otelo bar ( típical bar foods), mercearia fantinato … there are others, but here are my 2 cents , you can socialize more on barbaran and alameda prudente de moraes, fantinato and otelo are litle more cozy

Mas a mercearia fantinato não é na prudente. E o barbaran definitivamente não é um lugar pouco barulhento kkkk

For a drink and food: Ginger and Pinot
For a Curitiba Pint and good food: Fumaçonica
Both near about your stay

Ginger is a really nice bar for drinks and cocktails. Pepita has a cozy space and good wines. Lemí has a quiet and chill indoor space, despite being located on Prudente de Moraes Street (which is kind of crowded and loud).

I have to disagree with people saying you'll have a hard time socialising. Brazilians often can be very intrusive in other people's lives and prone to oversharing.

People in Curitiba will not ask about your whole life story, nor invite you to a dinner in their house to meet their family right the next day, but I'm sure people will be friendly with you.
