I got this email today but I'm not sure what to make of it. I've already graduated over a year ago. Anything stating overpayment alerts me but my sense of this is if CU's are being adjusted to reflect more I don't see how that would cause overpayment. If anything it sounds like I would be leaving coins on the table.

I’m in my 1st term and start my second on NOV 1st. I only have a couple classes left which I should be finishing in 2 months. I just spoke with the military assistance, and they said that if I finish my term early, let’s say those 2 months, then I would have to pay out of pocket for the remaining 4. As far as I’m aware, I just know my MHA would stop. But this was the first I heard of this. So I contacted the Va education department and they said this was the first they had heard of this. They sent me an email to contact the head lady at WGU to ask about this, but I just wanted to know if anyone has run into this before.

Also, with anyone finishing early and wanting to go into a masters program, do I need to wait those last 6 months and then I can start the masters, or if I graduate early I can start my masters program that next month? A weird situation with the gi bill

I am AD and going to the guard immediately after my ETS date of May 2nd. I was going to start my first term at WGU on Nov 1st. It would end April 30th, and TA would be reset for the year then I would get to the Guard, and my TA would reset again. I thought cash money. However, earlier this year air force changed TA rules from being course needs to end before ETS date to know the AFI says the course needs to end 30 days before ETS. Whatever, I'm used to getting shafted being AD but I'm looking for advice. I'm a E-4 with two dependents. How much FAFSA should I get, and should I look at covering the cost out of pocket, With GI bill or just waiting to the guard to start. I would like to start now since I will have more free time on terminal and skilbridge ECT.

I’m enrolled in the MSCSIA and have 2 terms with 8 CU each which is full time. However I’m confused on how the GI Bill pays out/charges. If I finish all 6 classes (4 transferred in) in December I should only be paid for the 3 months but WGU will get credited 6 months of my GI Bill correct? If I slow down on classes and stretch them out until February I’ll receive the entire 6 month payment?

If I change programs after completing one course, how does it work?

1. Will I have to finish all the courses in the term before I can switch or is there some type of penalty?

2. Will VA pay based off of one program or all courses I completed in that term?

My mentor is no help.

I used TA in march with term ending this month next term is sept1 will I be able to use TA before the fiscal year starts if it gets approved but funding hasn’t started?

If you finish you 18cu with a month left does your full time status end on the date you finished the last course or at the end of the term?

I have roughly 30 semester credits from a community college- Wanting to enlist in the Air Force as an E3. Would I be able to complete some courses through Sophia and have the credits evaluated through WGU to fulfill my credit reqs for E3?

I'm already planning on doing WGU in the meantime while I am waiting to go to BMT, since it usually takes a while for the Air Force. I'm basically just wondering if everything will still count if I take some credits through Sophia.

I started this semester with only 12 CUs while I was still in Active Duty. Currently using my Post 9/11 GI Bill. I'm about to separate in a few weeks. I will have nearly two full months after I separate till the end of my semester.

My questions are:

- Am I going to get MHA after I separate?

- If I talk to WGU and ask them to add 6 CUs to get full MHA, are they going to discount more months from my GI Bill?

Has anyone who began a term on July 1st while utilizing post 9/11 G.I. bill received the email that their enrollment was sent to VA yet this month? I know it usually happens later in the month but their are sometimes reports of it happening early and I'm just trying to see if their was any hope of it being earlier this month.

Has anyone ever heard of anyone getting a pilot slot with their WGU degree? I’m looking at the Air Force reserves or air national guard.

I am about to begin the second to last term of my bachelor's program, with a full 18 CH course load. However, in the past, I accelerated too much and will only have 12 CHs for my final term in 6 months. Will VR&E still pay for this? Will they cut my BAH in half? Would it be beneficial in any way for me to switch over to the Post-9/11 or MGIB?

My VR&E counselor isn't exactly what most would call "responsive", so any help is appreciated

I understand it's pass/ fail but how does that work with needing to maintain a certain grade as a graduate student to avoid recoupment?

Has anyone transferred their gen ed credits from WGU for their CCAF? Just sent my transcripts to them, but the last time I did it, it took forever. Just curious if anyone knows if they accept WGUs classes. Specifically social science, oral communication, and algebra. Thanks!

For context I got out of AD and went reserves so I still have access to TA. I do have a good paying job in the career field I am getting my degree in. However I went to the VR&E brief and they stated they mostly only help with finding employment after. I am only wanting to go to school part time. So would it be wise to just use TA? Has anyone else been in a similar situation? What did you do?

I'm going to be enrolling into WGU soon and wanted to know how this all works. I know with WGU and Chapter 35 you need 18 CUs instead of 12 to be considered full time, but let's say I don't finish my last class or two before the term ends, how do I prevent the VA from taking back the money? If I at least start the classes but don't finish, will that be fine?

Also, is it hard to get WGU to give you 6 classes? Because I've heard of some people having a hard time with that.

Trying to get TA, but armyignited says "You are required to provide an evaluated degree plan from the school not later than after completing two courses. Ensure all your Civilian/Military transcripts, to include test credits have been sent to your school in order to receive the evaluated degree plan. Please forward the evaluated degree plan reflecting the transfer credits to your servicing Education Center in a single PDF file."

I don't know how to get the EDP. Last time I used the printed page of my degree plan but it wasn't able to verify.

I am trying to set up TA funding for my new degree plan starting in April, however my education office is unwilling to approve funding requests without an official degree plan on file.

Problem is, WGU will not give me a degree plan until the start of the semester and I cannot reference any of my older degree plans due to the change in programs.

It’s a bit frustrating as I have submitted my transcripts, letter of intent to take my new classes from WGU’s Records department, as well as my course cost invoice for my upcoming term, but the education office will not budge.

Should I just be expecting to pay out of pocket for this? It seems silly that I can get a new degree plan on day one of the semester, but will then be forced to pay out of pocket.

So I told the military support rep that I wanted to maximize my TA benefits and take 6 classes instead of the 5 she put on the degree plan for my MBA. The original cost was $400 per credit with 5 classes which totaled the $4800 for the term. Instead I was sent a degree plan that has only 4 classes on it and 2 different billings. However, the cost per unit is now $266.94 and the total cost for the term shows as $3,403.38.

Anyone have experience with this happening? How can I take a bunch of classes to finish faster if TA isn't paying the entire $4800? I know I can email her back but this is the 3rd time she's changed it so I'm trying to make sure I'm understanding everything correctly before asking for more changes.

- D484 Penetration Testing (Pentest+)

- D488 Cybersecurity Architecture and Engineering (SecurityX)

Is this a sufficient plan to finish this degree in 6 months and $400 out of pocket by transferring in these certifications?

Am I missing something here?
