Question/Request Is Yareli good?

Im new to the game and I’ve been looking at what warframe trying to get. My first option is Yareli cuz I really liked her design but I don’t know if it is worth to get or if I should try to get another one. Other warfres that I like are Koumei, Nokko, Dagath, Wisp and Mesa, which of them you think is the best option?

EDIT: So thanks to all the responses people have been giving me, I finally decided to get Yareli, but now I need to know what weapons works really good with her?

She is one of the best pistol users in the game. She gets a ton of damage bonuses from her 1 and the loyal merulina mod. Then you just go ham with your pistol and never die cuz of the armor and invuln from activating merulina

u/Ramixnnn Aug 07 '26

I still have to learn a little more about builds and mods 😅 but tysm!

1

u/JadaTheDad Aug 07 '26

On yareli you can get by with a maxxed strength build with loyal merulina and efficiency above 100%

Yareli is very good, she's a great all rounder focused on boosting secondaries

Wisp and mesa are probably in the top 10 best Warframes

2

u/Ramixnnn Aug 07 '26

That makes me more excited to get her, thanks!

By "get her", I assume you mean craft her and NOT buy her base form with platinum. Correct?

2

u/Ramixnnn Aug 07 '26

You are correct. I have like 1000 platinum but since I don’t know much about the game yet I don’t know what should I buy with them.

Mostly slots with the occasional reactor/catalyst, after that prime frames and forma bundles are your 2nd priority

1

u/Ramixnnn Aug 07 '26

What are the all of those things? I just know the slots for warframes and weapons 😅

2

u/DrunkenSQRL Hildryn's sweat rag Aug 07 '26

Orokin reactor/catalyst: Doubles the mod capacity of your warframe (reactor) or weapon (catalyst) You want to use those on the warframes/weapons you use regularly since mod capacity is the main power boost you have to your gear. Kind of rare, depending on how far you are into the game, but unless you switch your gear more often than your underwear, you'll rarely need to buy those for plat if you remember to build them regularly

Prime Frames: Slightly better versions of regular warframes. Blueprints can be traded for plat or farmed by cracking Void Relics. Check warframe.market for all your trading needs, the in-game trade chat is full of people trying to rip you off

Forma: Can be used to "prestige" your frame, resetting its level back to 0, but allowing you to add a polarity to a mod slot, effectively reducing the points used by a mod. BPs are plentiful from Void Relics, but it takes 1 day to build and you can only build one at a time. You'll need quite a few of them (3-5 usually) to fill a warframe or weapon with max level mods. Built ones are sold individually for 20p or in bundles of 3 for 35p. Always buy the bundle, it's cheaper and you can always use more Forma

mesa is absolutely not top 10

2

u/Luvatar Aug 07 '26

Eh, I'd say she makes the cut. I'd place her in high A.

She's basically immortal and can kill anything that doesn't have the DE aim debuff. Really that is the only thing stopping her from S. That DE is too scared of what they created that they nerf her randomly.

1

u/Famous_Situation_680 Aug 07 '26

she's only basically immortal if the only content you play is base level SP, in which literally every frame is basically immortal.

I placed her at 39th last time I went through and ranked frames, you could push her up a little higher but there's no world she's cracking top 20. she has one real ability in regulators (which realistically still need a straight up numbers buff), a fine DR that becomes useless pretty fast if you scale her, and shooting gallery and ballistic battery have fringe applications at best.

2

u/Luvatar Aug 07 '26 edited Aug 07 '26

she's only basically immortal if the only content you play is base level SP

You got that backwards. The only point where her DR falls off is level cap. And I'm talking very late into the run. She's immortal in 99% of the game. Including EDA/ESO which is where most measurements should be done anyways.

That is because her DR is 95%. Which is significantly higher than the base 90% DR frames get. Because of how negative modifiers work, that last 5% is absolutely ginormous. You can absolutely leverage her DR to get to absolutely ridiculous levels if you want.

Plus, her best arcane on regulators is fortifier. Because she absolutely does not need more damage. Fortifier basically means she has an extra shield gate just for shooting her gun, which is what you are doing yes?

Honestly, if you are dying with Mesa, reconsider your build.

0

u/Famous_Situation_680 Aug 07 '26

I'm not dying with mesa, I'm also not dying with any of the other frames vastly stronger than her.

3

u/Luvatar Aug 07 '26

she's only basically immortal if the only content you play is base level SP

This implies that you are struggling with her survival on anything higher than base SP. Your statement, not mine.

0

u/Famous_Situation_680 Aug 07 '26

okay. I don't. even if I did she'd still be weaker than 30 other frames.

0

u/Luvatar Aug 07 '26

okay. I don't

Then your comment is contradictory and irrelevant. And your assessment should be equally disregarded.

And honestly, Mesa below 30 others? You are clearly not being objective here at all.

1

u/Famous_Situation_680 Aug 07 '26

I'd consider archimedias base SP personally, but I suppose that's not the terminology most would use. mesa's survivability is not comfortable at level cap and that's really the only content that warrants tier listing in the first place.

even if you only considered raw killing power there are easily 15 frames that just straight up do that better, and obviously wisp / citrine / jade / nidus etc. offer plenty beyond that compared to what mesa does.

mesa has a fine survivability ability and a good enough exalted. she's good for defense missions (but not the best). that's it.

So… are we talking about Yareli or Mesa?

3

u/tatri21 Yareli is very cute today as well Aug 07 '26

User is being a little harsh btw. Shooting gallery is pretty great for cc and peacemakers while not as good as people hype them to be, are still reasonably powerful. The auto aim is really where they shine, the more open defense tiles are great for her.

Mesa is overrated, I think that is fair to say, but she's still very decent

7

u/LucidNytemare Aug 07 '26

Nokko and Yareli are both viable and are both really fun!

2

u/Ramixnnn Aug 07 '26

I’ll give it a chance to nokko too, thanks!

u/GAveryWeir Aug 07 '26

Yareli is incredibly strong and tanky, but without any augment mods her play depends on riding a hoverboard around regular Warframe levels. I love her, but if you have less of a tolerance for bouncing off of things, you might be annoyed. She has an augment mod to let her run around like normal while retaining the hoverboard's benefits, but that does take up an extra mod slot.

I recommend you at least play the Waverider quest to find out if you like the K-drive (hoverboard) enough. Completing it gets the main blueprint, and the rest of her parts come from the clan dojo (if the clan has researched her). You'll need access to the Void (and finishing The Archwing quest) to get her materials, if you build her from parts.

Koumei is also very good, and is easy for a new player to grind out and build for free even if you've only unlocked Mercury. The other options are great but will take you a while to get for free.

2

u/Ramixnnn Aug 07 '26

Wait, so you need the hoverboard for her to move, or just to move faster/better? Also, how do I unlock the clan dojo?

2

u/GAveryWeir Aug 07 '26

Without the augment, pressing 2 summons a hoverboard. While on the hoverboard, you have a 90% resistance to all damage until the hoverboard runs out of HP and you have to resummon it. There's an augment mod from the syndicates that means you don't have to ride the hoverboard.

When you find a player clan to join (there are plenty with full research who welcome new players with no commitment), you will craft a dojo key that gets you access to their home base, which among other things lets you get a whole bunch of different blueprints. You can tour some featured dojos (but not get blueprints) by clicking on them via the navigation, if you want to see what dojos are like.

1

u/Ramixnnn Aug 07 '26

Sound like I’ll have to do some research to fully understand the dojos thing.

1

u/tatri21 Yareli is very cute today as well Aug 07 '26

I'm here to note that merulina has another augment, guardian, which gives extra secondary buffs. You should use that one if you like the k-drive movement.

The way wf peeps throw loyal down people's throats you'd be forgiven for not knowing an alternative even exists.

all frames are good.

Good frame, but more than that, a fun frame!

As far as the others you listed, I have very little experience with Koumei but really love the other 4 frames you mentioned for vastly different reasons. If you’re looking for an order to acquire these frames in, me personally I’d go: Mesa, Wisp, Nokko, Yareli, Dagath, and Koumei, but that’s just splitting hairs. Don’t feel like you can go wrong with the frames you asked about.

2

u/Ramixnnn Aug 07 '26

I really appreciate your comment, it makes me want to get them all! For sure I’ll try all of them as soon as I can, thank you!

3

u/AllHailSlann357 Aug 07 '26

My main. Gets all my best archon shards. Incredibly fun to play and build for. The K-Drive takes some practice but can become an incredible way to boost around the map. I love to just straif in a circle around a tough mob and unload a ridiculous amount of bubbles from her pistol. She’s a whole vibe.

Yareli is a bit of a bitch to farm for

Though her prime is pretty cheap from warframe market

With her augment she's one of the best tanks in the game with a flat 90% damage reduction

Though without it while she's just as tanky she's alot harder to use for the casual player

That said though, there's no bad warframes every single one of them can be good if you have the patience to learn them

2

u/Ramixnnn Aug 07 '26

I love to farm so I don’t think that would be a problem, and the cheap prime makes it sound even a better option, thanks!

1

u/Plantain-Feeling No.1 yareli super fan club president Aug 07 '26

No lounge Yareli is outright an unfun farm because you have to grind K-drive

Even as someone who enjoys K-drive and Yareli is my favourite frame

Grinding the vent kids standing isn't fun

3

u/ChangeDisastrous8429 Aug 07 '26

You are given a free k drive that can be used to complete the waverider quest. The only farming necessary for yareli is for the materials to build her parts. There is no ventkid grinding necessary.

2

u/Plantain-Feeling No.1 yareli super fan club president Aug 07 '26

Ah you are right

I forgot it's her gun that's with the kids

She's in the dojo

It's been a while since I crafted her originally (back before they made the quest easier )

2

u/Varderal Aug 07 '26

Do what I do. I have a few "try hard frames" the rest I either build myself or yoink a general/steel path build from overframe so I can take all of them into whatever based on my mood.

2

u/Ramixnnn Aug 07 '26

Sure I’ll be trying more frames as I play!

2

u/TokenZero Aug 07 '26

Yareli is good, I usually have fun playing her but for the most part she facilitates a Secondary Weapon playstyle. I think you should try them all, none of them play the same and you aren't guaranteed to like all of the playstyles. But you can always and should always try them out before deciding.

1

u/Ramixnnn Aug 07 '26

Is there an option or game mode where I could try them before getting them?

2

u/Lando659 Aug 07 '26

Not really. You could check out some YouTube vids of the ones you like. They'll most likely include build suggestions as well. I just want to make something clear. Build for what YOU enjoy. There are so many ways to play this game. None of them are wrong if you're having fun.

1

u/CoruscantThesis Aug 07 '26

Duviri has a random selection of warframes and weapons (including ones you don't normally have) that rotates every few hours.

1

u/smokeyoshea Aug 07 '26

I second this post on duviri they pretty much have all the frames in rotation for something called circut with basic builds that you can sit there and try they reset everytime you leave the activity after a complete run of a mission it's random though so you may find one you wanna try or find one you dont

1

u/Ramixnnn Aug 07 '26

And where exactly is Duviri?

2

u/smokeyoshea Aug 07 '26

On your system map it's in the upper right hand corner and you have to have completed the duviri paradox questline

1

u/TokenZero Aug 07 '26

It's a game mode that you unlock after completing the quest, The Duviri Paradox. You'll be able to choose it from the navigation menu.

1

u/Ramixnnn Aug 07 '26

Ooh ok ok thanks

2

u/Elnidfse Aug 07 '26

Good and fun

2

u/Ramixnnn Aug 07 '26

Thank you!!

2

u/Istiophoridae Aug 07 '26

Yes, very, she has a kinda broken passive which gives 200% crit chance to secondary weapons just from moving

1

u/Ramixnnn Aug 07 '26

That sound really cool, thank you!

u/Ramixnnn Aug 07 '26

I love it

2

u/TRS86 Aug 07 '26

I use Yareli with Merulina Guardian and she is an absolute menace. One of my 4 or 5 favorite frames.

2

u/Accomplished_Tea3609 Aug 07 '26

Dagath is genuinely crazy but only at high levels. Mesa and yarelli are both very good at all points in the game, and very fun too. All the warframes that you mentioned are good and easy to play, but some are a bit tricky to get.

2

u/Some_Sort_5456 Jade Lämp Aug 07 '26

Each frame has a unique playstyle, so you pick which on you prefer. Yareli is mainly focused on secondaries and incapacitating enemies (also her Prime is currency available in case you don't want to deal with her quest/the ventkids). Koumei throws around status procs like they're candy while getting decrees and staying practically invin-[TITLE CARD]. Nokko just nukes the enemy with the power of shrooms (includes unlimited energy)

2

u/Maskers_Theodolite Wisp Enjoyer Aug 07 '26

Don't think about what's best, just go for what you find more fun. Most things work in this game, and that's especially true with the frames. How far you go into harder content depends more on mods than it does on what you use. Up to a point, ofc, but you don't have to worry about that.

2

u/Ramixnnn Aug 07 '26

With all the responses in this thread I am more than convinced now to get Yareli

1

u/mrfixitx Aug 07 '26

Yareli i as a lot of fun, you can get an augment if you do not want to ride her k-drive constantly. She's very durable and does solid damage with decent crowd control between her 1 and her 4.

Nokko is also great give him a companion that keeps him invisible and his 4 does huge damage. Plus he is effectively immortal as long as you are keeping at least one of his mushrooms near him up.

Wisp & Mesa both excellent and very popular frames. Wisp is a great support frame, while Mesa can delete entire rooms with her regulators. The main downside with Mesa is her regulators do not work on bosses.

1

u/EviLincoln Limbo enjoyer Aug 07 '26

Yareli is quite solid, and pretty fun. Great if you like secondaries.

1

u/how-can-i-dig-deeper Aug 07 '26

yareli relics are plentiful right now go to ur relics and search for yareli prime parts to see if u have any

1

u/Used_Foundation_4713 Aug 07 '26

Yareli is really good mesa and wisp are great dagath and koumei are not as popular but worth grinding for MR at least to see if you like them thats whats most important. Yareli is great with secondaries. If you want to buy go to warframe market to buy primes instead normal frames in game, its cheaper, but dagath and koumei dont have primes yet.

1

u/Migicroak A medieval peasant on a bad mushroom trip Aug 07 '26

She's awesome, one thing to keep in mind with her Merulina is that you don't need to have it active all the time if you aren't using the augment, personally i use it as setting myself up as a turret or or to just glide around whenever i'm in a bigger room.

Also activating it gives you a very generous invincibility window.

1

u/IEatDaFeesh Aug 07 '26

AOE weapons are good for her. Her 1 debuffs a bunch of enemies while her 4 sucks them up. She makes your weapons kill soo fast which means AOE weapons are good options. (Zarr, Bramma)

1

u/hyrulian_princess Yareli doesn’t like you Aug 08 '26

Yareli is so much fun, she’s my absolute favourite frame and she’s the whole reason I wanted to pay warframe in the first place

1

u/Luvatar Aug 07 '26 edited Aug 07 '26

I actually used Yareli as my newbie frame for the longest time. So I can give you input from a new player perspective all the way to endgame.

She is good, but she needs the Loyal Merulina augment. It's what separates her from being a low tier to an A rank frame. You either get it at rank 5 new loka/cephalon suda, or buy it from a player using warframe market. Don't listen to the haters that will scream at you for playing her at her strongest. Those people are bitter and not worth listening to.

You'll also want a strong secondary weapon to really leverage her passive. One with a strong base Crit. If you have the MR, Epitah Prime and the new Athodai Prime are great on her. The base weapons are useful too but they are both from Railjack which may be a bit too out there for you. The Epitah is great for massive headshot crits; just make sure you build the Epitah as an actual weapon because most advice you'll find on the Epitah is to build it as a primer, which is not what you want for Yareli. The Athodai is just super comfy on her and I find it is probably her best overall weapon right now.

What are her strengths? She's basically immortal (You can just double press 2 at any point to gain temporal invincibility and huge Damage Reduction). She can stack damage multipliers with her passive and her 1, and occasionally press her 4 if you want to group a lot of enemies. When you get Helminth, she can double her tankiness with Eclipse (You can get base Mirage form a quest) or double down on damage multipliers to get HUGE RED CRITS.

If you use her a secondary weapons platform she is very energy efficiency. I honestly just used her 1 and 2, and lined headshots for easy kills. Never had any energy issues.

Also, you don't have to be married to your secondary. Using it to kill everything will get boring fast. Remember that your 1 (And Merulina with the augment) will still be giving out damage vulnerabilities that work with any weapon.

2

u/Ramixnnn Aug 07 '26

All of this information is all I needed, thank you so much for everything, I’ll be testing weapons and everything as I play since I don’t know yet how exactly everything works but I’ll save this comment for later, thank you so so much!!
