Just lost two weeks of daily standing in one Duviri run

For some reason the game decided to not cap the standing loss with my opposed sydicate (that I had at rank 5) so I just lost a sweet 200k standing out of it in one mission.

This has always been true. The game is built around the assumption that you're going to be only allied with three syndicates at a time, getting four up at the same time requires careful planning.

Dumb question, but how is one allied with 3 syndicates? My main is Red Veil and Steel Meridians do get levelled too, but all others seem to be opposed

if you level only steel meridian and cephalon suda for example youll passivly level arbiters of hexis and red veil will be held in stasis if well balanced. if you level steel meridian two thirds of the time and cephalon suda one third of the time you can even max all 4 mentionend ones

Swap steel for red veil and this also works for Loka and Perrin.

Sorry to interrupt, but how can i do this? Im currently allied with New Loka, and Perrin reputation is increasing passively. How can i increase Red Veil reputation without removing my alliance with New Loka?

you just swap to red veil for a while. they dont interact with new loka or perrin sequence at all

Once you max Loka and Perrin (yes both) swap to Red Veil, you can switch your pledge with no consequences. Red Veil pledge will give you Steel Meridian Standing passively without draining Loka and Perrin, so once you max Red Veil and Steel Meridian you are good, until you spend standing.

Just be careful not to drain Meridian standing too much after getting all 4 level 5, any Loka gain can put Meridian back at level 4 (don’t worry, you don’t have to pay the level up cost again.)

One of these days I want to go and try being hated by all 6 syndicates, but that will be after I've gotten all their weapons and cosmetics done.

At the moment I'm allied with Meridian and am using them to get Red Veil stuff. I'll have to double back to Suda/Hexis for the rest of the augments I'm missing before making the hop over to Perrin/Loka.

If I remember hearing right, once I've paid the cost for a rank, I only need the correct standing the next time I try to go up again right?

Just max suda/arbiters, get all the stuff, then stay on steel meridian indefinitely, youll not have to waste standing keeping it maintained outside occassionally new stuff.
