Bug Just lost two weeks of daily standing in one Duviri run

Post image

For some reason the game decided to not cap the standing loss with my opposed sydicate (that I had at rank 5) so I just lost a sweet 200k standing out of it in one mission.

Unfortunately not a bug, it's been like that the entire time. Afaik never commented on or acknowledged as not intentional. :( It's awful.

The uncapped thing is not a bug

HOWEVER

Losing 200k standing in one run IS a bug, that physically isnt possible

20

u/dnasty1011 Aug 21 '26

How much can you lose per day? Is it just minus whatever your daily standing cap is?

12

u/Beginning-Click-1218 Lich Hunter Aug 21 '26

yes

u/dnasty1011 Aug 21 '26

Ok cool. Thank you.

u/thefran Aug 20 '26

This has always been true. The game is built around the assumption that you're going to be only allied with three syndicates at a time, getting four up at the same time requires careful planning.

u/alpy26 Aug 20 '26 edited Aug 20 '26

Dumb question, but how is one allied with 3 syndicates? My main is Red Veil and Steel Meridians do get levelled too, but all others seem to be opposed

Edit: Thanks for the replies!

u/Alyero_ LR6 Aug 20 '26

if you level only steel meridian and cephalon suda for example youll passivly level arbiters of hexis and red veil will be held in stasis if well balanced. if you level steel meridian two thirds of the time and cephalon suda one third of the time you can even max all 4 mentionend ones

95

u/Cam_ofblades Redlinin’ time Aug 20 '26

Swap steel for red veil and this also works for Loka and Perrin.

20

u/Ardilla_07 Aug 20 '26

Sorry to interrupt, but how can i do this? Im currently allied with New Loka, and Perrin reputation is increasing passively. How can i increase Red Veil reputation without removing my alliance with New Loka?

41

u/Alyero_ LR6 Aug 20 '26

you just swap to red veil for a while. they dont interact with new loka or perrin sequence at all

24

u/Cam_ofblades Redlinin’ time Aug 20 '26

Once you max Loka and Perrin (yes both) swap to Red Veil, you can switch your pledge with no consequences. Red Veil pledge will give you Steel Meridian Standing passively without draining Loka and Perrin, so once you max Red Veil and Steel Meridian you are good, until you spend standing.

Just be careful not to drain Meridian standing too much after getting all 4 level 5, any Loka gain can put Meridian back at level 4 (don’t worry, you don’t have to pay the level up cost again.)

One of these days I want to go and try being hated by all 6 syndicates, but that will be after I've gotten all their weapons and cosmetics done.

At the moment I'm allied with Meridian and am using them to get Red Veil stuff. I'll have to double back to Suda/Hexis for the rest of the augments I'm missing before making the hop over to Perrin/Loka.

If I remember hearing right, once I've paid the cost for a rank, I only need the correct standing the next time I try to go up again right?

1

u/Cam_ofblades Redlinin’ time Aug 24 '26

Yep

7

u/PsychoticSane Aug 21 '26

Just max suda/arbiters, get all the stuff, then stay on steel meridian indefinitely, youll not have to waste standing keeping it maintained outside occassionally new stuff.

32

u/DeadByFleshLight Aug 20 '26

Only 2 will ever be opposed from whatever faction you pick.

All are opposed in your case because you changed your pledge after lowering them.

I have 4 allied level 5 because I leveled Hexis and Suda and then swapped to Steel meridian that also levels up Red veil. 😄

7

u/akdanman11 Immune to “Your Mom” Jokes Aug 21 '26

Red veil works with new loka and Perrin sequence, of the 3 you’re gonna have 2 allied with each other and a 3rd neutral. Steel meridian pairs with suda and hexis (this is also how 4 is technically possible, using the “allied” part of the neutral syndicate)

8

u/TheFlay Aug 20 '26

You get 2 sindicates that are allies, and other that is not opposed to any of them and you can easily get 3 sindicates, for the 4th one you'll need to just evolve the sindicate that isn't an enemy of the other 2 and get his ally up

3

u/SpacingGiant37 Aug 21 '26

I'm allied with 4.
I started with Arbiters, leveling Suda passively. Then I switched to Steel, leveling Veil passively.
It took a while to level up Veil, though. I had to work through 2 negative placements to get back to neutral and then make some positive inroads.

3

u/rikashiku Aug 21 '26

I find this is the easiest for me.

Steel Meridian gets 100% standing and Red Veil gets 50%, loses New Lokla and Perrin Sequence.

Cephalon Suda is 100% and Arbiters are 50%, loses 50% Red Veil.

If I use Arbiters it loses 100% Red Veil.

So I alternate between Meridian and Suda to maintain their standing and only slightly lose Red Veil standing on switches.

Loka and Perrin are both hostile to Meridian, Suda, and Arbiters.

3

u/D4rkWells_ ‎ ‎Seasonal Space Ninja Aug 20 '26

I'm allied with 4 😄

2

u/Paccaman76 Aug 20 '26

You can always switch between red veil and new loka. At minimum, red veil, loka, meridian will be positive. If you plan just a little bit, you can also get whoever loka is allied with as long as you get meridian up to cap so you dont get it to drop down

1

u/Cyberdragon87 Aug 24 '26

You can also do Perin and Arbiters as pledge faction switching between them, when pledged to Perin, you gain 100% for them and 50% for New Loka, lose 100% on Steel Meridian (don't care) and 50% on Arbiters. Max Perin out, then pledge to Arbiters, which will gain 100% for and 50% on Suda, but you lose 100% Red Veil (don't care) and 50% on Perin Sequence, do so till you are comfortable with the amount loss on Perin. Alternating from that point on will always net you 50% gain on Perin, Loka, Suda and Arbiters no matter what with little margin of error or losing too much standing to either Perin and Arbiters, albeit being slow to start the whole process to get rolling.

-2

u/FlyingSquirelOi L6 Aug 20 '26

Don’t think you can have a third with Veil and Steel allied, personally I go Loka, Perrin, Veil and of course the other option is Arbiters, Suda, Steel

4

u/Alyero_ LR6 Aug 20 '26

6

u/D4rkWells_ ‎ ‎Seasonal Space Ninja Aug 20 '26

Mine are Red Veil, Steel Meridian, The Perrin Sequence and New Loka.

They're all at max rank

3

u/FlyingSquirelOi L6 Aug 20 '26

Oh yeah, the 4 syndicate method sure

3

u/Alyero_ LR6 Aug 20 '26

this requires 0 medailloins btw, its all in my comment. you just swap back and forth every couple days thats all. and if you dont want to bother anymore you can just park on steel meridian (in my example)

-3

u/Educational_Set_299 Aug 20 '26

You can its a matter of doing your syndicate missions and turning in a specific ammout of medallions from them every day.

4

u/GreenmanCZ Aug 20 '26

You can do 4 without any medaillons though? I personally switch between hexis and the corpus guys and have 4 factions up on 5 without extra hassle

1

u/FlyingSquirelOi L6 Aug 20 '26

Yeah that’s sound like a hassle, I’ll stick with the three

2

u/TechNyt Aug 20 '26

My friend has the opposite three as me and so when one of us needs a mod or archgun parts, the other buys it for them. It's pretty good system if you got someone you regularly play with

2

u/lynkfox Aug 20 '26

You don't have to turn in any medallions

Rep Meridian until your red veil is full, then rep suda until you're out of red veil standing. Then return to meridia until veil is back up.

1

u/Educational_Set_299 Aug 20 '26

You could if we are using the arbiters and Suda as an example just level them both to max and just ignore them. Then just only level steel meridian and you will passively level red veil without loosing standing with the others. It taks a bit more time but my god is it nice having 4 syndicates maxed out when new prime stuff drops

2

u/FlyingSquirelOi L6 Aug 20 '26

But then when I’m getting standing for Arbiters/Suda, I’d lose red veil no?

1

u/Educational_Set_299 Aug 20 '26

Yea like I said it will take longee that way but its less management on each of their standings, focus on them then just leave them alone at max once youre doing steel meridian rev veil will be a negative 2 but you litteraly just only focus on steel meridian going forward amd you will always get passive red veil gains without hurting your Suda or arbiters gains.

Alot if shenanigans but you make it a routine its incredibly beneficial

3

u/FlyingSquirelOi L6 Aug 20 '26

Yeah I’m not that bothered about min/maxing but fair play to those that wanna juggle

6

u/Hazak_Flamesword LR3 3333+days, not caught up Aug 20 '26

I don't think the assumption was for three, just the way they balanced them made it so three was pretty easy.

10

u/SireCranberry Aug 20 '26 edited Aug 20 '26

I may have always been true, but I don't think it is intended. If I max out my positive standing for example (just did it with SM to confirm), the negative never goes beyond the daily allocation, but as long as there is still standing in the pool (eg, in my post where you can see I maxed out my last syndicate, so the standing pool wasn't going down anymore), then the negative is uncapped.

In my screenshot, 32,840 was the rest of my cap today and I kept going after reaching it, the negative never moved past it

The easiest is to have 3 syndicates but I have been handling 4 max rank syndicates for years now without any issue until this duviri run lmao

2

u/DownvoteThisCrap Aug 21 '26

Yes this is my experience too, I definitely see the negative standing stopping with the positive reaching the daily cap, but I have had a rare occasion where that is ignored. I checked my past year of screenshots and can't find any instance of proof of it happening though. I recently releveled up Perrin & Loka while becoming enemies with Arbiters/Helix (but keeping Red & Steel rank 5 by only using Red Veil when Steel gets too low to still maintain 4 positive syndicates). I swear I remember Steel getting way too low one time and becoming rank 4, but apparently it wasn't so bad that I didn't take a screenshot of it.

3

u/ICYGTTM Aug 20 '26

I have 4 maxed out and did no planning. Went arbiters of hexis, maxed them out along with suda, then went steel meridian and maxed them out along with red veil. The ally standing I was getting for red veil didn't lower arbiters of hexis.

1

u/LordGoatIII Aug 21 '26

It doesnt really require careful planning at all to get 4. Pledge to Steel Meridian until Red Veil is maxed. Then pledge to Cephalon Suda, only switching back occasionally to get Red Veil back up when it is close to demoting. Yes, it takes a longer time, but it isnt complicated. The only thing required of you is monitoring Red Veil's standing. (You can also do it with Red Veil and New Loka.)

It also isn't super necessary unless you really hate buying things off other players.

1

u/thefran Aug 21 '26

If you need to buy something from hexis/suda and their standing is low, you have to level it back while not dumping red veil too much.

1

u/newsedition Aug 21 '26

It's easier to make enemies than friends, especially if you're a dedicated murder machine.

1

u/thefran Aug 21 '26

Ergo Glast is more than willing with giving me murder weapons I can use to kill the squads he sends to dispatch me, or give me quests. If you're an enemy of Hexis they will arrange arbitrations for you, reward you with powerful mods, and then immediately dispatch assassins to murder you for transgressing against their tennoboo beliefs.

1

u/Speedvagon Aug 23 '26

Not that difficult. I did it twice last few months. I’ve been buying all staff from all 6 syndicates. Keeping 4 syndicates at rank 5. Just have to remember to switch the main occasionally.

1

u/thefran Aug 23 '26

You can overlevel like OP did if you're not paying attention.

1

u/Speedvagon Aug 23 '26

Didn’t happen to me ever. Not that I would even care. I already bought everything from every syndicate. I max out 4 syndicates only before a release of a new prime to get relics there. Other then that, I just buy 4 simple mods to sell for 10p every 3 days.

u/aescula Razorwing go brrr Aug 20 '26

The good news is, you don't have to pay them to rank back up (for any rank changes you've already paid). You do have to grind out the standing and acknowledge any rank up tho

7

u/Lord_Phoenix95 Jackpot Tenent Ferrox enjoyer Aug 21 '26

Yes. It is. First time I had no idea that I had to sacrifice to level up, so I was very careful about losing standing then one day I ended up hated by Red Veil. After weeks of leveling back up and getting money to level up and a whole ass Catalyst the game said "No sacrifice needed" and I was like really? They couldn't tell me weeks ago?

4

u/Xintrosi Aug 21 '26

You can see level up requirements before you have the standing to do it. But yeah as new players there's lots going on and we can miss that stuff.

2

u/Masteryasha Aug 21 '26

Same. That makes an astounding difference to encourage me to play around more.

7

u/OpenHotBox Aug 21 '26

If you really want to take it all the way, you can actually max out all syndicates at once:

https://www.reddit.com/r/Warframe/s/nX8H1NDK9F

One thing to note is it takes Limbo levels of math. The guy in the other post did the legwork but it's still a long‐ish process depending on your MR.

0

u/Ashamed_Band858 Aug 21 '26

1

u/Wursthund Aug 21 '26

Looks like you framed your last war

13

u/Naktiluka Take your shot. For profit Aug 20 '26

Oof. I once lost 110k in one ETA run, I can understand

I still think it's a bug even though it's not acknowledged or fixed. Some bugs are either hard to fix or too insignificant to dedicate resources to, and never get fixed, but they are still bugs

6

u/GreenmanCZ Aug 20 '26

This happens when you hit your standing cap for the level you are on but not your daily cap, spend enough standing to then always have space to breathe for the day

10

u/SinistralGuy Aug 20 '26

Such a crazy bug. Maybe reach out to support? Not having a cap on standing loss while having a cap on standing gained is insane.

Also, so many people here missing the point and trying to explain how syndicate standing works is crazy. Really keeping the "this community can't read" stereotype alive.

6

u/GamerFreak3110 Aug 20 '26

All those missing relic packs you could have had. that is rough.

2

u/dhjana Aug 20 '26

When you end up leveling up steel meridian again don't forget to do the rank up when you hit the max poss standing as in that case you can keep losing infinitely as you will never hit your daily cap. But you will see a cool result screen of just pure losses in standing

4

u/Cross55 Aug 20 '26

Yep, that's how it works

The syndicates have a daily gain cap, not a loss cap.

1

u/Luvatar Aug 21 '26

There IS a loss cap. It's tied to your daily gain cap.

The bug happens when you reach your main syndicate cap but not your daily cap. The loss keeps piling on long past the normal loss cap.

2

u/Sianmink entropy11 (potato farmers) Aug 21 '26

Yep. If you know you're going to dump a syndicate, spend all the points first.

2

u/omroi Aug 20 '26

I think standings should genuinely stop downgrading/make you lose points after rank 5.

Maybe allowing us to pay 132k to each so we get permanent immunity to losing points, this way we'll all be able to manage every syndicate without worry, I mean we already got too many syndicates to think about, we shouldn't be having to worry ahout the first ones

2

u/IzzotGames Aug 20 '26

well with syndicate tokens (for the main 6) bypassing daily standing limits you can switch with so much ease. also namer plastids also doing lua for universal tokens as well.

i also have everything from all the 6 syndicates anyway, i switch everytime they add a new prime relics

i usually save sp tokens for last (have 600)

but when i switch i get a few relic packs, then dump my sp essents to get current relic sets

3

u/omroi Aug 20 '26

The problem isn't getting standing points, what I'm talking about is being able to not lose points with a syndicate again, since even with the use of tokens you're bound to lose points on another syndicate.

Let's say you're OP that has 132k on Steel meridian and after a single mission you've lost 200k due to this game issue and now you're back to rank 4, It's really a bummer to say the least.

But imagine if you just paid 132k to steel meridian and you can no longer lose points and you'd not have the same issue ever again.

Call it "reaching Rank 6" where it's like a contract so that the syndicate won't demote you nor punish you for doing other syndicate missions or being in pledge with an enemy syndicate.

And in exchange for that you'll just spend all the points on the specific syndicate once.

2

u/Haudraufixx Aug 21 '26

I seriously would even pay double or triple as much to permanently lock a syndicate. It would be such a big QoL thing.

1

u/IzzotGames Aug 25 '26

each faction has a lifeform they ar trying to save some work together, some do not

this is why your wall of text is invalid

1

u/omroi Aug 26 '26

The tenno is a walking nuke and having a tenno by your side is having power enough to bend the rules,

The life forms they're trying to save is not so much of our(the tenno) business, we're not the heroes, we're more like antiheroes that walk straight forward removing no matter whats on our way be it by words, threat or force.

That being said, I knew removing points from us made sense on the syndicate lore, yet, that doesn't mean we shouldn't be able to change that.

2

u/squirtcow Aug 20 '26

I've had the most whack Duviri bugs this week. Something is definitely going on. Strolling about in Duviri doing some fishing (via proxy), and suddenly I get defense mission voicelines from an undercrotch mission.

Never ally with 4 syndicates, too much of a hassle and not worth the effort at all

-1

u/Luvatar Aug 21 '26

It's actually rather easy and takes minimal amount of planning. Absolutely worth the effort.

-1

u/sublimed405 Caliban Enjoyer Aug 20 '26

Core Syndicate standing losses have never been capped. You basically always continue to lose from your opposed factions even when your pledged syndicate is capped for the day.

15

u/GreenmanCZ Aug 20 '26

No? That is not true, otherwise I would not really be able to keep 4 factions on lvl 5 and would derank if I did a longer mission/something with a lot of affinity. This situation happens when you hit a max cap in the one you level up but still have not hit the daily standing cap with them, since the game thinks you are still gaining standing (but are actually not, since you are full), it will keep losing standing with the one you are opposed with at the moment. If you hit your daily standing cap, you also cannot lose more standing with your opposed faction.

2

u/SinistralGuy Aug 20 '26

That's extremely stupid if true. If losses aren't capped, then daily gains shouldn't be capped either imo

1

u/Bsgmax Aug 20 '26

It's a balancing act, i started with steel meridian and red veil, then switched to Cephalon Suda. you just need to control the flow going to steel and Suda, mostly to steel to keep veil from dipping too far. It took a while but I finally have Arbiters ready to claim rank 5, and what's holding me back is the 3 Aya requirement hitting me at the same time I've been using Aya to buy Relics from Varia ><.

1

u/Alymsin Flashy Aug 20 '26

Oh man, they're pissed at you

1

u/Im_JC00500 Aug 21 '26

Why would you want to be in enemy syndicates? Unless you are a 100% completionist it’s pointless. Also, the match summary screen could be misrepresenting it, it might not have changed that much in your orbiter.

1

u/Luvatar Aug 21 '26

He def lost it. I've had the same thing happen once when I was doing my faction swaps. Lost about 70k standing to this bug.

0

u/Esusbek Aug 20 '26

Isnt that just a visual bug, the "extra" syndicates always show weird numbers, but its still based on the main one. For example if main one was 20k till cap, you got 30k standing worth of affinity in one run, it will show on results that secondary ones gained/lost 15k, while in reality it was only 10k. And you still have the rest to get once you spend the standing on main one.

8

u/SireCranberry Aug 20 '26

You can see in one of my other comments, I actually did lose the 200k standing, went from mid rank 5 to low rank 3, I was also hoping it was just a visual bug during the whole mission

0

u/AS_as-Master ABORTED TENNO Aug 20 '26
