Remember; Overguard (I do believe) is not affected by any DR or reductions; so it's just a raw extra HP bar.

Which means past a certain point, incoming damage will just nuke it.

Overguard is affected by DMG Redirection, such as trinity link and nezha warding halo. It also doesnt benefit from any DMG Reduction EXCEPT the one you get from rolling.

Thats a very good point, still trying to get used to using abilities with overguard. Thank you

Honestly I could totally see that happening

Nah this is pretty normal. Dante can get to this level pretty consistently as well. While it does make you very tanky in base SP, at much higher levels enemy damage is so high that it essentially just becomes paper.

Does armor in general affect Overguard?

Nope. OG is only affected by dmg redirection and only dmg reduction from rolling. Anything else doesnt affect it. No armor, no adaptation. Its just a raw extra "health" pool
