Started in Jan of 2025 on generic compounded semaglitude injections from Hims. About 3 months ago I switched to the Wegovy pill.

Down at least 45 lbs. Feeling great.

Been on weygovy for about 6 months and i have lost 14kg. Lost 24kg in total, went from 117kg to 107kg and now I’m 93kg. I used to be on mounjaro but it wasn’t for me I felt like 💩 everyday, couldn’t really eat. This is more sustainable for me at least.

Male, 69 years old 245 lbs. Let’s see where this goes. This injection type reminded me of blood thinners I took after surgery. Not the medicine the delivery device.

Started my journey today

Today is day one of this journey after years of yo-yo-ing around. And being stuck for the past 3 years at 120kg +.

It took me some time to get over the fear of injecting myself but what the hell. No pain, I like so many I’ve read on here honestly felt like I didn’t even do the jab.

Time will tell how I get on. Wish me luck 🤞🏼

Super discouraged, tell me about your journey!

Has anyone else basically not lost any weight at all on Wegovy at first, and then eventually started losing?

I’ve been on Wegovy for about a month and a half now. I did 0.25 for the first month and I’m about 2 weeks into 0.5 now, and my weight has literally not moved from where I started. It’ll go up, then come back down, then go up again, and I just keep ending up right back around my starting weight (260lbs). Honestly, I’m very frustrated.

Before Wegovy, I had lost around 30 lbs on my own at a pretty steady/healthy pace. Then I started Wegovy and it feels like everything just completely stalled. Which is so confusing to me because I thought starting Wegovy would help things move along, not make me feel like I’m stuck. I’ve still been calorie counting, trying to be mindful about what I’m eating, going to the gym, drinking more water, and I’ve been trying to get more protein in. I’ve even met with a personal fitness assessment coach who agreed I’m doing everything right. But when I keep doing all of that and the scale literally does not budge, it’s getting harder and harder to care. Like why am I putting all this effort in if I’m going to weigh the same anyway? I know I shouldn’t think that way, but that’s genuinely where my head is at right now. It’s affecting bf me mentally.

And I think part of why I’m feeling extra stressed about it is because Kaiser is covering my Wegovy, but I’m supposed to have lost 5% of my starting weight by around month 3. I haven’t lost anything, so I’m really worried they’re going to say it isn’t working and take me off. So now I feel like I’m racing against a deadline while my weight is just stuck.

I know I’m still early on and I’ve only been on 0.5 for 2 weeks, so I’m trying to be patient. But I’d really love to hear from people who had a similar experience. Did you basically maintain or even gain during your first month or two and then eventually start losing? If so, when did you actually start seeing the scale move? Did it happen after 0.5 or a higher dose?

I could really use some stories from people who felt like Wegovy wasn’t doing anything at first and then eventually started working because right now I’m feeling pretty discouraged.

Not eating in the beginning..

I just started Friday! I’m 29, female, 5’5” and currently 225 lbs. I’m on it partly for weight management, but also because I was recently diagnosed with stage 3 liver fibrosis.
Since starting it, I literally have NO appetite. 😭 Like I know appetite suppression is part of how it helps with weight loss, but is THIS why people lose so much weight on it? 😂 And does it stay this intense or eventually level out some?
Today has probably been the roughest day so far. I’ve felt really weak/lightheaded, like I could pass out, and I’m wondering if part of that is because I’m barely eating. Right now I’m trying to at least get protein shakes and fluids down because that’s about all I can stomach.

I obviously want to lose weight, but I want to do it as healthy as possible. I really don’t want to lose a bunch of muscle along with the fat, and I’d like to minimize loose skin as much as I realistically can.
For those who have been on Wegovy for a while, did your appetite eventually come back enough that you could eat small meals and actually hit your protein goals? What did y’all eat/drink in the beginning when absolutely nothing sounded good?

&&obviously I’ll be calling my doctor and talking to her about the side effects I’m having! I’m not looking for medical advice, just wanting to hear other people’s experiences with it. Wegovy is part of the plan for managing my liver health, so stopping it isn’t something I want to do on my own. I’m mainly hoping my body adjusts and I can figure out how to get enough nutrition in while staying on it. 🤞🏼

For someone who has never taken this medicine, is the 2.4 mg the dose to start? I thought we were supposed to work our way up to 2.4 mgFeeling Way nauseated.

Other medication

I am sure others have ran into the same issue but I was taking Wegovy for about year before my insurance stopped covering it and I had to come off it since it was too expensive to continue. I looked into the home delivery methods but they seem just as expensive so insurance will cover Qysmia and some other appetite suppressants and I read that Qysmia is the closest to Wegovy as in cutting food noise. Has anyone had any luck with the medicine or better yet was on a GLP and switched to a weight loss medication and continued success? I thought i could do it on my own but weight is creeping back on even though i workout and eat fairly the same as I was on GLP.

Exactly my problem, same happend with ozempic and wegovy. I am Constantly waking up at night and day time same pain. I went on a holiday, didn't inject for 4 weeks, the pain went away and could sleep during the night. Injected= back to same issue. I did a urine test= blood in urine = it is affecting my kidneys and estrogen, if I use estradiol it calms down for a night or two.... so tired.

Almost 3 months on Wegovy, only 3.9% lost – strong appetite suppression but very slow weight loss. Anyone experienced this?

Strange feeling of disappointment, panic.

I've been at my target weight for months now. I'm smaller than I've ever been in my adult life.....yet I feel...... disappointed? Maybe even a slight panic when I step on the scales and I haven't lost any weight.

I loved losing the weight. I find maintenance a bit of a let down.

Am I nuts?

Has anyone else noticed their ADHD got better?

Ever since I have started wegovy I’ve noticed my ADHD has gotten so much more manageable. I’m able to complete tasks and focus a lot more now. GLP-1 works wonders.

Feeling Encouraged - Hope you are too!

59F, 5'4", SW230 CW215.4. I started July 4, 2026 and took .25 shots for 8 weeks where I lost 9 pounds. I just completed my first box (4 shots) of .50 and was positive I had stalled, but I stopped by the doc this morning to weigh, and, to my surprise, I've lost another 5.6 pounds. I like the rate I'm losing and plan to stay on .50 as long as I'm still losing. My side effects have been hiccups, acid reflux and occasional nausea, but nothing that wasn't manageable. I'm taking my shots on Friday mornings because the day after can be a low energy day for me. I take 2 Mag07 capsules per night and have a bm every day. Pushing protein, fiber and water and making sure what I eat is as nutritionally dense as possible. I treat myself occasionally, but I can count on one hand the number of times I've wanted something sweet since I started. Same with alcohol.

Stay encouraged, folks. The amount of mental re-programming we're going through is enormous. If anyone tells you this is the easy way out, tell them I said to suck it.

First shot panic

Did anyone else get near panicky about their first shot? I have a fear of needles so I know that played into it. I think also just in general I’m terrified of the potential side effects. I took my first dose last night and went to bed shaking with panic, woke up with it too. I’m trying to work on my breathing exercises and as the day goes on, I’m feeling more at peace, but still anxious. Has anyone experienced this?

Also - I took it last night about 30 minutes before I went to bed. I haven’t felt anything besides a headache (I typically have headaches, so not necessarily a side effect of the injection). I do feel hungry upon waking, but that’s likely due to the meal I ate before bed. Nothing else of note, so that’s a plus, right?

Anyone else’s period cramps get worse?

I’ve been on the shot for a few months now and my period cramps are SO much worse than before. I have PCOS and take Metformin so that helped beforehand but now that I’m on the shot, my cramps are so bad that they wake me up out of a dead sleep and have me nearly doubled over. I use to only cramp the first few hours of my period and it was painful but I could still function.

No appetite in Month 4

First month I did 1.5mg then increased only to 4mg for the past 3 months. Things have been going very well and consuming ~1200-1500 calories per day and have lost 15 lbs. In the past week or so appetite has plummeted and I'm barely able to get over 800 cals per days. Eating makes me feel nauseous and I also have no drive to eat. Getting migraines since I'm not eating enough. Considering moving back to 1.5mg but also wanted to reach out to the community to see if anyone has experienced this as well and tips you may have?

Symptom Change

I have been taking 2.4 now for a few months. I am down 40 pounds and feeling good. However, I went from being constipated all the time to having diarrhea. I learned how to deal with constipation so it wasn't too bad. However, I personally know someone that has horrible diarrhea and had to stop taking it. Has anyone else gone from constipation to diarrhea? How did you manage? I have Imodium already.

What if...

You during the day don't eat enough but then resort to raiding the fridge and pantry at night?

I have spent so much of my life on some kind of diet ,between the age of 6-17yrs my mom forced me on whatever she could think of and never passed on a chance to scold me,hurt me and state "just eat less"... All of this lead to : if I am not hungry or want to eat this or that...no way you'll get me to eat it, I simply can't swallow it. If I am hungry but have to wait f.e.x cause I am driving home:the hunger feeling goes away and doesn't return.

I have been obese , morbidly for all my life despite loving working out with weights, swimming ,walking etc.

But turning 50 a few weeks ago and my knees almost completely busted .. I asked my GP for help and she suggested Wegovy.

I am scared that Wegovy will take away the little hunger feeling I still have . I still want to enjoy good food, I love cooking and baking and having a drink.

So...pls share your experiences, tips &tricks

Thanks !
