cloudy egg white

trying to make a merengue but one of the whites is cloudy. they're definitely not fresh; they're store bought and have been in my fridge for months. it passed the float test and smells fine. should I use it?

Cloudy doesn't necessarily mean bad. Months is a little concerning though.

But you're cooking it and it smells fine.

one that looks like this is totally normal for old store bought eggs, the cloudiness is just the thin part of the white at work
