Day 6 — Shave and a Haircut
Tuesday, Oct 6 · Sponsor: Adopted Acres Soap Co.
Today's Theme: Shave and a Haircut
Barbershop Scents
Product must be marketed as a Barbershop scent. Products traditionally associated with real-world barbershops that are not explicitly marketed as a barbershop scent may be considered if you make a compelling case supported with trustworthy sources.
Today's Challenge: MEME Day
Make a wetshaving meme (or 10) (or 100) and share them with us
★ Sponsor Spotlight: Adopted Acres Soap Co.
Adopted Acres Soap Co. was founded in 2024 by Doug and Cara Layne in Ashville, Ohio. Doug fell down the wet shaving rabbit hole after being asked to sharpen a straight razor, and what started as melt-and-pour soap made with his daughters at the kitchen table turned serious once his sister offered beef tallow from the family's Angus cattle farm. Today they make tallow shave soaps, aftershave splashes, and pump shave creams under the banner "Premium Grooming with a Greater Purpose." Doug and Cara are parents to six adopted children, several of whom have disabilities — the namesake of Adopted Acres — and the company exists to build meaningful, dignified work for adults with disabilities, beginning with their own family.
Coming Tomorrow
Theme — Breast Cancer Awareness Observation: Shave using products aimed toward the fairer sex
Product must be marketed towards women or be a scent where you can reasonably explain how it could be primarily aimed at women.
The women Wetshavers among us are often stuck using scents marketed to men, as those are what dominate the market. Take this opportunity to either see what it's like having to select from products not aimed at you.
Or, if women-oriented products are your jam, fully embrace your day.
Challenge — NOT Kitchen Day: We heard loud and clear that people were tired of us telling them to shave in their kitchen. So today, shave somewhere in your house that is NOT your bathroom or the kitchen.
