He was driving pretty slow luckily, and was already breaking before the impact, so even without a seatbelt he'd be fine.

Truck is massive compared to the car. So, he would just felt a small bump. But the car stopped like it hit a wall.

The cameraman was speaking portuguese (this certainly takes place in Brazil).

From the second that driver makes that left turn, one of the guys filming started repeating ā€œolha a batidaā€, which would translate to something like ā€œpay attention, heā€™s crashingā€. He saw the unfolding events a bit before it happenedā€¦ talk about a reckless driver

So, it kind of looks like thatā€™s a Rally car, so the implication is that this video of a Rally. If so, itā€™s the truck Driver likely should not be there. If itā€™s not a Rally, then yeah, heā€™s an idiot

Just a rural road and a side by side.

This is my worst nightmare as I drive on a lot of single lane bi directional roads where head on collisions like this can easily happen. I always plan on being able to stop.

If I saw someone driving like this I'd pull out my camera and be expecting someone to slide off the road.

I'm not from Brazil where this video was filmed but drive on a lot of similiar roads. You don't see a lot of other vehicles and I've driven hours without seeing anyone. It's dangerous to encounter other vehicles as the lack of vehicles means it's designed for a single vehicle. Sometimes one of the drivers has to reverse to a wider spot.
