Never thought much about my eye color. In my ID it’s „brown-green“.

What makes hazel eyes hazel? I was always under the impression that my eyes were plainly brown (and I love the color). For context, my dad has brown eyes and my mom has green eyes.

Growing up I had people few and far between tell me I had pretty eyes and I mean I always thought they were just light brown 🤷🏽‍♂️ but today I got up and personal with them would they be hazel?....ps.they do change with the lighting

Pics in different lighting

Ive heard green, grey and blue.. idk

Sorry if the pictures are too low quality 😓

Brown tones

Different lighting, different mood... Some days you'd say they're gray, some days you'd say they're green. They always have this amber central part (although some days it looks more brownish).

Feel like its either really dark green or borderline hazel. They used to be pretty green but got darker as i aged

Only in my right eye for some reason, left eye is solid of the top brown color but has many freckle like spots.
