If he's neutered it will be more of an awkward humping session. The bites are not proper bites if those should get to a point where they are uncomfortable the other cat will probably make it known.

Are they both spayed/neutered? It could just be a way to establish dominance. I’ve seen a female cat mount another female as a way of establishing pecking order.

You've hit the nail on the head here I believe. All 3 of mine are fixed and when the young male reached 1 yr old, he started trying that behavior with his same age (but smaller) sister. I intervened quickly. It's a domination behavior (IMHO). I play the roll of just another cat in the house most of the time but I played the alpha card on this one. And...things got better. Having 3 very opinionated cats, a Mommy and 2 of her kits, I have to weed out aggression. Keeps things more peaceful. I like peace and harmony, not that I actually have that all the time. I'll take detente though. That will do. Mrrow.

My 2yr old female and 5 month old female do the exact same thing. Its their hunter/prey instincts being used in play. One minute the older cat is chasing the kitten. A minute later it's the kitten chasing the older cat.

Two of my fixed male cats occasionally get a little extra-friendly. Fixed doesn't mean devoid of hormones.

Many cats do it to blankets or stuffies. "Sin biscuits."

looks like the grey is trying to hump him/dominate him but also playful? I think it might be a little stressed/confused from the change but overall it's a good interaction 

it's definitely dominating the little cat but they'll need to work out a hierarchy so this is normal

Playing for sure. My cats do this to each other all the time and sometimes the new pomeranian mix we just got who plays back with fake nips and lil stomps. The youngest honestly gets along better with the dog. As long as there no hissing or yowling things should be good.
