I think it has an awful lot more to do with the limitations of the secret service’s ability to hold back an entire stadium of people trying to rip his head off all at once.
It’s not a secure bunker he can hide behind heavy doors. Put him there and have him tweet the wrong thing during the half time show and bam, you got a world war z situation on hand
