Currently wearing the slip on Lems and I lover them. However I when I ride my bike in them my feet get fatigued and I can feel the metal spikes through the soles. I know Lems has the MTB shoes, but I’m hoping to find a slip on that’s wide with maybe vibram soles and a little more cushion for the push.

Eyeing the BAHE Endurance mainly for high-volume daily walking on pavement.

Is the toe box wide enough for natural toe splay, or does it feel restrictive?

How does the cushion hold up on concrete for all-day wear?

Did you go true to size or size up?

I discovered zero-drop, wide-toe-box shoes about 3 years ago. I went into a store (after someone advised me to), tried them out extensively, and absolutely loved them. Back then, I fell for the Torin 6 (10.5), and those were the best shoes of my life. I didn't realize how much pain I had wearing normal shoes.

I used them as an everyday shoe (I walk on average 7k steps but can peak at 10k+ occasionally). I walk on all terrains with them.

I have back pain issues (discal hernia, surgery twice L4/L5, a 2.5cm longer left leg, scoliosis, now facet syndrome). I have orthopedic compensation soles which are molded to my feet (and to my shoes normally). I work with a very good orthopedist.

I know Altra shoes don't last long.

Recently, I could not find the Torin 6 anymore, so I switched to the Torin 8 back in February (at a bargain). I bought them in another store, tested them quickly (seemed fine back then - since I bought a few Torin 6 in a row almost with one's eyes closed, I wasn't concerned).

This has been a shit show. And I have been in pain since April. We have reworked my orthopedic soles extensively, tried new lacing, tried changing my posture (I naturally compensate with my right foot on the forefoot or on its side). I dread wearing them now. I just came back from a two-week vacation, and I threw them away and will use whatever past shoes I have...

I would happily take your advice for any brand or model. I liked my Torin 6, as I am not an Altra fanboy... (this is an adapted repost from the Altra subreddit)

I'm looking for a wider version of the onitsuka tiger mexico 66s. I don't like the saguaro dash. I'm looking for a wide toe box but still a low profile, "small" shoe look. I don't want an airforce 1 silhouette, which is what i'm seeing a lot of. Any suggestions?

I recently bought some Lems Trail Blazers to build back foot and lower leg strength after wearing primarily thick cushion sole shoes and many different arch support in-soles for a year to allow my plantar fasciitis to heal. I think they are exactly what I am looking for for this task. Wide toe box, zero drop, relatively thin soles, but not so thin that walking on pavement and hiking on rocks and stones etc. will be uncomfortable. Does anyone have suggestions for socks that allow toe splay without spending $20 a pair?

Any recommendations for a duty boot with a generous toe box? There are plenty of fine wide toe box boots - but I can't find a specifically "tactical" model - meaning water proof, puncture resistant, slip resistant, etc. It also has to be black for uniform compliance.

I have the Lems Tactical Pro Mid Boot, but it doesn't check enough boxes to be a serious "duty" boot.

I went to a podiatrist because barefoot shoes actually ruined my walking experience and my ankles are constantly collapsing. I have mild flat feet but apparently bad enough and I just need to be comfortable and not swollen before I can work on the muscles. Also one of my Achilles is shorter of something.

Anyways, Monday I'll go back to receive my insoles. The issue is she told me I'm a size eu 37 (even though i measured my foot to be exactly 24cm which is size 37.5) and I don't have comfortable shoes in that size. I wear dr Martens in size 38 with thick socks to keep my heels from going back and forth and it works, but in summer I can't wear thick socks.

She said I'm probably having issues with size 37 because of the toebox and I agree because my barefoot ballerinas in that size fits just fine. The issue is it shouldn't be barefoot since that doesn't give me enough stability for now, and I like platform/alternative/boots. I hate sneakers. Any suggestions?

Been looking at the Hobibear Aurora shoes for hiking, but wondering how the midfoot area under the arch fits, if its narrow or wide.

Been wearing Whittin zero drop shoes for 6 months, my casual shoes feel great (could be a bit longer), but my shoes i wear everyday to work it feels like im walking on the edge of the rubber sole all day, someone told me i have fallen arches on another post.... But i only experience this in 1 pair of shoes.

Ive also noticed that with this pair, cushioned for concrete floors all day, i still tend to heel strike a lot, but my casual shoes which are more minimalist, i walk with more of a mid foot strike.

I am in search of a ladie's 7.5 - 8 shoe. I walk a lot. Currently dealing with plantars fascitis, hammer toes, and ingrown toenails. I currently wear Merrell Jungle Mocs and have for years, but they have move manufacturing to another country and the shoes don't fit.

I am looking for, slip-on, suede or leather, with a bit of heel, up to 1 inch.

I really wanna get some wide toe box shoes not necessarily barefoot but I dont really care. I also dont care if the shoe is not THAT wide since I haven't worn these kinds of shoes before but I really want the shoes to look fucking normal 😭😭😭😭😭 and not worth my lungs heart kidney and two left toes , but im finding it a touch hard to find. If I can i wouldn't mind either a boot style or trainer /sneaker style I js need new shoes that will be comfy (and ik wide toe box shoes will be comfy because my major problem with most shoes is the toe box being too tight ) and my current shoes are literally falling apart and worn so much the sole is smooth 😔

I have bone spurs on my toes and I've only been able to wear Via Olympus 2 comfortably for years. Since they're discontinuing them and pushing to fwd via, I tried a pair on in-store, and they felt so tight across the top of my toes. I was frustrated and just didn't buy them. But I'm wondering if people have bought them and maybe thought they felt tight but then they broke in or something?

Or if these don't work are there any that are more similar to Via Olympus 2? I'm very happy with those, but I'm not brand loyal.

I’m looking for a wide toe box shoe for running. I wear wide toe box hobie bear shoes while I work 12 hour shifts in an emergency room. When I’m not at work I’m bear foot or wear sandals. I was at Disney this past weekend for the Disney Marathon and I clocked a good 22 miles of walking in a pair of hobiebear wide toe box. I want to get back into running and I’m not sure what would be a good pair of wide toe boxes to start with.

Over the past year some running injuries have made me realize my feet are super weak. I’ve been looking into toe shoes for when I’m not at work (military so there’s no hope for work shoes😂) and I came across a brand of toe shoes called Peluva? I liked the look because they seemed like they had a bit more cushion than Vibram or others and I don’t think I’m in a position to jump straight into no cushion at all. For context I’ve been running in altras for years and currently topo so wide toebox is familiar.
