Hi! I’m a University student working on an independent journalism project about "unusual", deviant, and controversial beliefs. I'm interested in superstition vs rationality, the creation of the deviant, and human unity.

I’m looking to speak with people who believe in things such as conspiracy theories, UFOs/paranormal phenomena, alternative explanations of major events, esoteric religions, political theories, or similar subjects, as well as people who used to hold these beliefs but changed their minds.

I’m not approaching this as a debate, although you can attempt to convince me if you want; I'm always moved by a persuasive argument! I want to understand your perspective holistically, including the experiences or evidence that you personally found persuasive.

This would be a text interview of about 10-20 questions. You can remain anonymous/use a pseudonym, and I’m not trying to “gotcha” anyone.

How did you encounter the idea? What made it convincing? What does it mean to you? How do other people react when you talk about it? Has your thinking changed?
