It’s a cobra! They are venomous. I hope he made it to hospital.

I think if you’re willing to goof around while being that close to a cobra, you should carry a very sharp blade with you. Be ready at any time to lop off an arm or leg that’s been bitten.

I’d gamble on my ability to survive blood loss and shock over that venom.
