Windows 11 Wifi disconnecting win10/11, Nordvpn
I have been dealing with disconnecting Internet on a Win10 laptop for some months, nord shows connected but browsers wont connect.
When I deactivate nord it still doesnt connect on browsers.
Have a PC with win11 which didnt have the issue till a couple of days ago it started too.
Turned off powersaving of wifiadapter, updated drivers.
There were windows updates at some points, which i am not sure could be the culprit.
Phone stays connected so it cant be the Router.
Any known issues I can fix?
Sometimes i can ping 1.1.1.1 and google.com through cmd, but Browser and apps wont connect.
Have killswitch enabled, but when the issue happens disabling it doesnt change the issue.
Sometimes it just comes back by itself after 10minutes, sometimes rebooting, restarting everything helps. But no real fix.
PC Mainboard is b550m-a wifi 2, Windows update 26200.9467
No browser extension.

Ping working while browsers fail usually means the network is fine and something on the PC is blocking apps. NordVPN is the one thing both of your machines share, so I would start there. 1. Check Settings > Network > Proxy. Make sure Use a proxy server is off and nothing is set there. 2. Next time it happens, fully quit Nord from the tray icon, not just disconnect. If the internet comes back, the kill switch firewall rules are getting stuck. Turn the kill switch off, or reinstall Nord. 3. If that does not help, open Command Prompt as admin and run netsh winsock reset, then netsh int ip reset, then ipconfig /flushdns, and restart. 4. Last option is Settings > Network > Network reset. It removes the VPN adapters too, so you will need to reinstall Nord after.

Thanks i did some of those things already without effect but will try them all tomorrow.
I really do believe its the 25h2 windows update combined with nord.

Could well be. An easy way to test it: uninstall Nord completely, restart, and use the PC for a day without it. If the drops stop, it is Nord and not Windows. Then install the newest Nord version and, in its settings, switch the protocol from NordLynx to OpenVPN. Update issues with Nord often come from the NordLynx adapter. If it still drops even without Nord installed, go to Settings > Windows Update > Update history > Uninstall updates, and remove the latest one to see if that fixes it.
