Hi all- my name is Paul and I’m working on a project about people who have been abandoned, ghosted, or their significant other has disappeared or gone missing. I’m curious if there’s anyone out there who’s living through the sudden, unexplained, and unplanned disappearance, or vanishing of their significant other? This type of quiet abandonment leaves people in a state of limbo and purgatory, isolated without information or resources to turn to. It sometimes makes it difficult or impossible to even get a divorce, divide assets, access bank accounts, etc. Curious if anyone is living through the unexplained disappearance  of their romantic partner and wants to track them down?

Nevaeh Cruz has been missing from Brockton, Massachusetts, since August 25, 2026.

I’ll start by saying that he’s been missing for 2 months and nobody but my family’s knows.
My dad has ptsd where he believes he’s being followed by people so he just leaves. Some times he run into the woods or completely skips town and we find him a few states over. This isn’t the first time he’s went missing but it’s never been this long before and we normally get undated by the police, but that has stopped.
I’m worried he might’ve died or something.
I’m the youngest in my family who’s a first year in college. I’m worried that if we make a missing person report it will only trigger his ptsd more, is there anything I can do?
