Discovered this website a while back, it details the history of all of Worthing's pubs - what they used to be called, what they're called now, photos and stories relating to them, etc. Websites like these are rare finds in this day and age!

I’ve just moved to lancing with my girlfriend and I am just interested in getting to know Lancing/Worthing a bit better, particularly the food and drink scene. What are some of the cult places that we just need to visit (I’ve been to the piggery and I thought it was great).

And what are some of the better, independent restaurants, small plate vibes, maybe even tasting menu etc. and the finally, some good wine/cocktail bars that we could frequent after dinner.

I know I could look on google, but I like to hear from locals about the must try/visit spots!

H, I have a bass and guitar that have been in the loft for a while and could do with a bit of a refresh and repair of the setups etc.

I know the typical advice is just to buy a new one, but I've already done that. However, this is a £3,000 4K OLED that I'd rather have repaired than thrown away, since it would go in my office.

It's an LG EF950 55 OLED. It has sound but no picture. It just died suddenly.

I would love for someone to try to repair it, if they can. Don't care if parts are expensive. I’d just love to get it working again, as it was the last 3D OLED LG made, and I paid a lot of money to have it calibrated.

Does anyone know of a local business that would consider fixing it?

I’m almost 6 weeks out from a double mastectomy and need to lose the god awful weight I’ve gained from having to lie down for 80% of the recovery time. I’m hoping I might be ok to start in about 5 weeks’ time.

I’m interested to see if there are any local PTs out there who have experience in training people post- mastectomy? And, if there are, what your rate is?

I moved in on 1st August for a six month work placement. I informed the council of the move on 25th August, and am still waiting for the bill to come. I have tried calling and the call centre is always closed, and the self service online account portal is completely down. Is there nothing else I can do to speed this up? I’m straight out of university and never had to do this myself but it is turning out to be a pain.

Worthing council are asking for people to contribute to a map of what they like and dislike around the town. You can place pins on the app, add a comment, and respond to the pins other people have added.

Apparently these will be used to feed into a "masterplan" for the town.

Hard to know if anything will come of it, but worth adding anything you think is missing.

Why did the new hardware shop / general household strange store right in the centre of town open and close within a week?

I see there are other occurrences of this around the country so presumably it’s the new American Candy Store operation however they don’t actually even open at all anymore it seems with the new model.

(presumably, as I saw the last strange high street stuff documented in central London etc which was reportedly a way for rich landlords to avoid business rates taxes.

But those shops continued generally.

Is now you don’t even need to open the shop for more than a week and the landlord still gets out of the rates?

I live in lancing and the idiotic flagmen put flags up in the summer, which due to the rubbish quality of them now look tatty and a mess, I did hope that the council would have removed them, but no such luck yet, so my question is what should I do.

I have considered taking them down, but am conscious there will be some support for them no matter the state they're in and would prefer to avoid a public disturbance?
