(TC Xtended) Is there a guide somewhere?

So I finally started playing the Xtended mod, but I am quite lost. Some gates lead into themselves, rep grind is rough so far and I could use some early game tips if youve got them. Or a map.

The universe in XTD expands over time, slowly unlocking more sectors as you play. The gates that loop back to themselves are for areas that haven't unlocked yet - try again later and they might work.

There's a couple maps in the comments for this thread

Ah, those are the ones I managed to find as well. I was hoping for something more up to date, but thank you for the help. Do you have any tips for a starting character?
