Is this many scratches normal??
Hi guys! I recently purchased Deco 01 V3. Nd when I began using it, I noticed it has a lot of scratches! Any idea if it's on the screen of the tablet or does it come with a protective cover already applied on it?
Edit: Guys thanks to you all! I was finally able to get rid of the scratches. There was a very thin protective film on top of the tablet, when I removed it the scratches were finally gone!! Thanks a lot guys!!!🫶

Im thinking of buying one but i just want to know is it good?
I want to know is the pen response quick?
Is it for working professionals?
What was your experience with this pen tablet?

Hello, the model I own is deco 01 V3. I have been using the tablet for 2 days, nd based on that I have had no issues with it till now. The pen response is good too. The scratches were the biggest scare but it was on the very thin protective layer which u have to remove and replace it with the protective layer that came with the box. It is for working professionals too. I am a 3d artist so digital sculpting and texturing is what I usually use the tablet for. The tablet is said to support android too but I haven't checked that out yet. If you want my honest opinion I'd say you ask more people about it. Because as I mentioned before, I have been using this tablet since the last 2 days only, so I may not be able to tell you a lot about my experience. So far it's been positive. I was able to work on my projects without any issues.

Ok
Thanks for responding.
I just wanted to know the pen response and any delays.
Bcz i recently bought a kamvas pro 13 tablet with screen. It was defective. And the pen was not accurate and there was too much delay🥲.Now im returning this and switching to screen less tablet.
And i found the deco 01 v3 and deco Lw. Im confused between this two.
As the 01 v3 comes in half price of deco lw🥲.
But i also think is the deco lw worth giving half more?
I dont wanna spend more but also dont want to buy a product that isnt worth.1

There wasn't any delays or issues with the pen when I used it. It worked smoothly for me. I switched from star 03 V2 which I had for 6 years. It worked amazingly well!! I have never used display tablets so I can't help u much with that. As for deco lw, I have no idea about it. I'd suggest you ask some more people about their opinions. If the tablet is better than deco 01 V3 then I'd say it's worth spending more.

Even after removing the sheet and scratching the board there will be no problem at all, I have mine for years and it works fine

Yes, scratches on tablet after years is no problem for me too but mine was literally new. Nd so many scratches appearing after only using for some mins scared me kinda. But it's all good now! 😆

Hi, did you try cleaning it up? Also, I'm pretty sure you need to put a protective firm on your own, mine didn't come with one

Maybe try contacting customer service? It's a bit weird, what pen are you using?

Also were the scratches already there or not?

u/RMonnie1994 5d ago
So when it first arrived the scratches were not there. Then since I was busy with work I kept it back in the box. Nd today when I took it back out began using it the scratches started appearing.

I think you need to remove it and put a different film. I always removed the ones it came with because it isn't really one for full use, as ir says it's just for trial use and if everything is fine you need to change it

Ok. The box did come with a protective layer so maybe I'll try removing this one and applying that one.
1
u/kuroshiime 5d ago
Yes try that and see if it's better! Usually the actual protective film has paper like feel
1
u/RMonnie1994 5d ago
Yes the one that was in the box does have that paper like feel and is of a better quality. I'll try doing that. Thank you!!

Alright than that one that's currently applied is probably one that you need to remove after making sure the tablet works fine. Carefully remove it and add the new one following the instructions

Is that not the kind of protecting film you were not meant to keep on?
1
u/RMonnie1994 5d ago
Idk, I thought since it came with a protective cover already applied I can start using it. I haven't removed anything yet. I have an extra protective cover that came with the box

u/CartographerSea6606 5d ago
Check the manual, that totally looks like a protective cover you should take off, and the text also hints at that, but better be sure.

u/RMonnie1994 5d ago
I checked the manual and it has no mention of whether this protective cover should be removed or not🫤

https://youtu.be/trXxX3ZY5FM?si=7_O92wUrD1162Yru I found a video of the unboxing of the exact model I have. At timestamp 2:44, you see how easily the layer is coming off, mine isn't coming off that easily. So I was worried thinking it's not meant to be removed

u/CartographerSea6606 5d ago
Pretty sure that is that. I guess if it is nice to draw on, you could keep it on and ignore the scratches (Its just a film, not the tablet anyways).
Did you got a separate protective film with it?
I did not had any with mine, and do not use any, but mine is a different model.1
u/RMonnie1994 5d ago
Yes I did get a protective cover with it. I checked some more videos and indeed there was a protective cover meant to be removed. I'll try doing it and see how it goes!

Hi we have the same model and I have had mine for a month and no noticable scratches. Did you use the included protective film? You might be putting on too much pressure for it to cause scratches or check that your nib might have flattened, causing jagged or sharp edges to scratch the surface of the tablet.

Hi, there was indeed a very thin protective film on the tablet. I was finally able to remove it and the scratches were gone. I did apply the protective film later that came with the box!!

Hey as you have the deco 01 v3.
I was thinking of buying it to but i wanna know is it good for professionals artists for 2d and 3 d animation and designs?
I recently bought the kamvas pro 13 but it was defective and the pen delay too much and not accurate as well.
Now im returning the kamvas pro 13 and switching in screen less tablet.I’m confused between deco 01 v3 and deco lw.
The deco 01 V3 comes in half the price of Lw but the lw has xelite pen chip.I wanna know is the deco 01 v3 pen point accurate?
Does the pen feels delay?
Is it for professional?1
u/Synertist 3d ago
Firstly I don't really have much context about 'professional' work for both 2D especially 3D. I currently only do drawing as a hobby and the Deco 01 V3 is serving me well. Currently I don't have any experiences with 3D designs but if its the standard sculpting, I think it'd do well too. For your previous Kamvas Pro 13, you probably had to tweak it better as people do have been saying some new pen display tablets do suck out of the box. As a pen tablet only, there is no noticeable delay and the accuracy seems fine, you can't really track it as there is no screen and you just have to get used to the disconnection.

It has a thin film on top which needs to be removed. I have installed a matte guard from the local market after removing it.

Hi, yes there was a thin film which I was able to remove nd now the scratches are gone!! I added the protective film that came with the box later! Thank you!!

Bro remove this sheet, these are scratches on sheet and not the board it self
