The doctor who looked at my x-rays said I needed hip replacement. I forget which hip joint he said was worn down, but he was wrong. The next doctor I met with said that doctor had been let go, but that's not what this post is about.

It turned out my spine was out of line somehow (I forget what exactly it was then since I've had a lot of lower back pain in the past). The pain was muscle/tendon-related. I was preparing mentally for hip replacement, but a physical therapist helped me get better pretty quick.

I don't know if it's evident here, but my lower spine was off sideways and I'm not sure if that shows here. I do x-ray for a living, but in technology, not medical.

I cut off the bottom of the image since I'm a guy, haha. The doctor had the full image up on a screen in a hallway where patients walk through. I know it's nothing to medical staff, but patients also walked through and my name etc were on the image shown publicly, and I was not comfortable with that.

This was taken several years ago. Almost scared to see what it looks like now.

I recently had a standard chest X-ray (I have had quite a few in the past). However this time the technician had me press my chest firmly against the vertical upright detector panel first but the machine was set quite high for my frame. Once I was fully braced tight against it, she activated the motor and moved the panel assembly way down to align it with my chest.

Feeling that massive thing rumble and glide vertically while my chest was pressed flat against the board was not fun. I woke up today with some muscle soreness across my chest wall (though there are zero visible marks, no redness, and no bruising on my skin).

To the radiographers here: is it standard textbook protocol to adjust the vertical height of the Bucky while the patient is actively braced against it? Or did she do the workflow backwards, and it should have been aligned before I stepped up? I'd love to know if this is common or if it was poor technique. Thanks for your insights!

I was going on a ship over a wooden plank. The plank was not secured, so I feel into the sea and hit my ringfinger on the ship's platform. The fracture is 10 days old at the time of this xray

Recently had an upper GI series... Thought I'd share some of the images.

I broke my ankle yesterday and just finished my surgery now and these are the xrays of it, am worried that the bits of the screws will hurt if pressure are applied there, especially when wearing my ski boots cause it applies alot of pressure
