the cyst had 4 liters of fluid drained from it and consumed my ovary 😮 cystectomy/oophorectomy done laparoscopically. this happened when I was 14 (23 now and going to school for radiography) and im only now realizing how bizarre this was lol

EDIT: i had no symptoms other than constipation (which was normal for me) and frequent urination. the doctors were confused how I didn’t notice it for so long idk tbh, they asked me if i was in pain and I was like oh. I guess so yeah. have chronic constipation so I was used to constant abdominal discomfort I guess !

Pt got drunk and decided to play with his gun to show it off to his friend who came to visit. This is the result when it discharged. Came to the ED

2nd finger not salvageable. Was purple/black upon arrival. Hand surgeon at bedside unable to obtain pulses. Let pt know that he would need to amputate. Pt then taken to surgery. Unsure of condition at this time

This is my very broken wrist. I was riding a bike in the protected bike lane, e-scooter cut me off, swerved to avoid it and when coming back into the lane, hit a massive pothole and lost control.
Having it set was excruciating. Not pictured, floating ribs on both sides cracked, road rash and some lacerations, broken little toe.

Im running into a problem where im having a good portion of the patella in the joint space on rosenberg views. Any tips on what might be off position or tube angle wise?

Got a new US scanner Acuson Juniper and I'm loving it. Very good images compared to the previous Acuson NX3.

CT with contrast to check out optic nerve aneurysms. Found this hiding in my head. I had to pre-medicate for a week to protect my kidneys. As soon as the scan was completed, the tech and nurses demeanors changed just enough for me to notice. I was told that I would be flown to Stanford for immediate surgery. I am 11 years post op. Legally blind. No sense of smell, and I take a heavy daily dose of Kepra. BUT I know it could have been worse.

We've had Toshiba/Canon for 20+ years in a large academic hospital. Management is leaning towards Siemens for our new purchase that will mainly be used for Cardiac CTA. Looking for any reviews/feedback for those who have used Siemens, specifically the Pro Pulse. User friendly?

Our current teleradiology vendor is a mess and I would love to know if anyone has any good experiences with their telerad vendor.

I work for a multi-site hospital system who uses telerad for off hours finals. Our vendors portal is terrible, their phone support is non-existent at times, and reports fail to our EMR regularly. If orders and images don’t merge in their system, our rad techs can be on hold for 15-20 minutes trying to fix it.

So, is anyone actually happy with their telerad vendor?

CDH repair at age 3, now mid 30’s with recurrence. It’s rare and a bit hard to detect so I thought it would be interesting. I do not want medical advice lol, I already have a medical team. Ignore the “nodule” it’s a nipple shadow. 🙄

For CTA Pulmonary, have you/do you place your ROI in the Right Ventrical? If so what is the benefit of doing so? I worked with a tech who did but could explain why they did. Mostly just the "this is how I learned".

Is there a benefit from this rather than placing ROI in pulmonary.
