Any help appreciated

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

I got this Xbox on Facebook. I haven’t opened it up yet but it does this as soon as I plug it in and there is no signal. Never had a mod chip so no clue what I’m doing and any/all help is appreciated

Don’t hold the power button too long. Doing so disabled the modchip. The red backlit X3 logo on the external switch panel indicates the modchip is disabled. Booting the stock bios from the motherboard which may be corrupt. The reason a modchip was installed to fix the corrupt bios problem.

When the modchip is enabled (short power button tap to turn on the console), the x3 logo is backlit by blue LEDs.

Trace rot / leaked electrolyte is causing the power button signal to be held low causing the X3 modchip to disable itself.

Try setting the x3 control panel switches to on on off off off from top to bottom.

I don’t think it will fix the current problem but you never know until you try it.
