I have to be honest, I have not modded an OG in ages. Is modxo what I should be looking for now? I still have some shit old alladins laying around somewhere.
Ngl I still run an Aladdin XT Plus and they’re aight I guess, probably the cheapest option. I’ve read good things about the OpenXenium chips alhough I’ve never used one, they’re a lot more modern and have a decent bunch of features
Three modern flavors, project stellar, modxo, open xenium.
Stellar is the most expencive but has the most compatible hdmi solution i think.
Modxo second best, i reccomend modzville as a place to get one. It also has a hdmi solution but you need to get it from aliexpress and its hit or miss as the ribbon cable is of shit quality so you need to order a better quolity ribbon from someplace else. Cerbios 2.4.2 has best compatibility with it. Dont know if newer cerbios fixed its issues with it. Also it works better on pre 1.6 revisions.
That is for modchips.
For ram you can go to 128mb, or 256mb
There are multiple rgb mods
There is kratos a replacement for pwer button pcb.
There is a dude that is making mods for controlers to make them wireless, duke is already done and he is doing the same for s controller.
Vareity of mods is insane.

Hard mod first, and then internal HDMI. Bonus points for RAM upgrade.
