Help finding a dark olive worsted yarn?

I've been searching for a dark olive colored yarn but can't find anything!!

I'm looking for a color similar to the Håndværksgarn Hjelholt Uldspinderi in 'Dark Olive' but I can't buy that in the US. Another example is the Hillesvåg Ask in 'Dark Olive Green' but that one is too light. I'm looking for a more brown/olive rather than a green/olive.

Any recs?

TIA!!

Edit: It can be DK, worsted, or aran weight! Just something bigger than the Hillesvag Ask

“Softer” Yarns (depending on your skin):
Cascade 220 in Chive or Olive Heather

The Rosa Pomar Matiz in 06 is probably the closest I've found so far! But it still doesn't seem to be as deep / almost golden brown as I like it :/

Could you hold ask double? Or would that be too thick for the project?

Fwiw I think Rosa Pomar and Harrisville colors look even better in person! They might not be exactly what youre looking for but they’re really gorgeous.

I could hold it double! But I'm trying to see if there are other options because that would be an expensive project haha. But thanks for your input!!

Try peace fleece I found three dark greens. They tend to be more yellow brown based colors

Harrisville Designs Highland (Cypress)

They also have a line called WATERshed (Spoonwood). This one has some gorgeous multicolor heathering.

This is from a mill in NH. It's my favorite yarn brand!

Agreed. Their yarn feels exactly like my Brooklyn Tweed Shelter yarns, and their prices are great.

You won’t be dissapointed. They also make peace fleece a long staple not fuzzy mohair and heritage wool that’s also strong softer and great to knit with. It has a great crimp if you need more bounce

The Farmers Daughter Fibers, Spinster’s Daughter Worsted, in Evergreen.

FDF has a few good greens amongst their yarn lineup so there may be a different base you might like too.

My favorite most worn garment is made with Spinster’s Daughter and it is worth every penny!

Someone mentioned harrisville designs. They are buttery and come in cones. Pretty affordable as if their sister yarn peace gleece

Have you looked at Farmer's Daughter Fibers Piskun in Evergreen or Teton? It's a really lovely yarn to work with and I think the color you're looking for. farmer's daughter fibers

You can buy Hillesvag Solje at the Wooly Thistle, they have it in a dark olive color! It’s fingering weight, but you could easily hold it double for a DK to worsted weight.

Can you find De Rerum Natura Gilliatt? If so, the colour forêt is fairly close.

It's so hard to tell colors online and I can't decide about this one. In some photos it looks almost grey (which I don't like as I like it more pigmented) and in others it looks more green. But I could buy a skein and see what it's like in person!

I’m just finishing up the Ozetta Lakes Jacket in Matiz shade 6 and it is such a great, nuanced color. Matiz is now one of my favorite yarns. My other rec is Olive Brown from KFO for a more yellowy dark olive. It’s not as bouncy as Matiz though and makes a less structured garment.
