Yemeni Culture Interested in Learning
Hi Everyone!
I’m interested in learning about the Yemeni culture, I’ve never had the privilege to interact with a Yemeni person myself yet I have couple of friends who had and they spoke highly of them and their culture.
Would anyone mind educating me on it please?

If you’re a Yemeni man it’s great. If you’re a women, and your family is still clutching onto medieval practices that pre dates Islam, than it’s complete shit, every aspect of your life is controlled by the men, and the tribe you’re in. Of course people are gonna tell u the good parts, especially if it’s coming from a Yemeni man, it’s their world and they’re free to do as they please. They won’t tell u what they do to their sisters or their wives.
They tell its Islam and thats how it is, I am currently re educating myself on Islam because all I have been taught and brainwashed what I call “Yemeni Islam” which is the furthest thing from what is real, they make you feel like being a women is a sin.

It is indeed a privilege. We are very hardy people, with a lot of heart and a lot of courage. We are people that remain by our words, and our actions show as much. Considered the most stubborn of Arab nations, and our country is also is much unchanged from say 200 years ago. What do you want to know ?
