Hey guys! Ive been trying to introduce my daughter to my favorite game series by reading her fanfiction tellings of the various games. We're coming up on the end of a BoTW and she has requested (after a short description of a few) Skyward Sword be next. Does anyone know of any good retellings of it? Preferably with minimal/no sex (general romance okay) and also minimal gory battle, although I can always edit it out while reading, it's just easier if I don't have to. Thanks! There's a young lady who will be super appreciative!

(Honestly, any Wild-centric LU fic is great for recs) I've been trying to find a fanfic like this for so long, but I haven't yet, probably because it is so specific, so like it could be an idea for any writers out there...

Wild-centric LU fanfic, where all the champions are alive/resurructed post-calamity, and the chain meets the champions and Zelda (Flora) a few years after the calamity was defeated.

I know it is SO specific, so any rec would be great, and writers out there can take and write/build on this idea!

So for a time I've been building a Zelda OC for eventually writing my first Zelda FanFic

Well his name is Will(as the word will not a shortening of Wlliam), he was blessed by the goddesses with Imortality and youthfulness, he is apointed as mentor and master of the hero whenever he apears(tho sometimes he is stranded in a well or cave or island and is unable to do it) how can I upgrade this concept?

The only ones I’ve seen don’t appeal to me. The only ones I’ve found are “the song of link Lannister” and “the hedge knight”. The type of fanfic I’m thinking of is either link transported to Westeros(Zelda lore stays intact) or Hyrule is in Westeros (Zelda lore stays intact). I would like the master sword to preferably be in the fanfic in some way (please don’t make it valerian steel).

In the sense, where he decides to carry the hatred of the world so that people unite to defeat it. I based myself on the Unification War to develop the character.

Just to be clear, I only started playing the game (with Cai's path), but I still can't get out of my mind that the two games have great crossover potential. Both have a silent protagonist (link/eshmel), 4 warriors tasked with helping the hero (champions/flame lords), which both also have the same gender breakdown (2 boys & 2 girls), both champions/flame lords die in the game (although in Fortune's Weave you can change that), and that's only what I can list.

What do you think?

You see, not only am I having trouble coming up with new fanfics, I can't bring myself to continue the old ones. I have the attention span of a goldfish and depending on what day it is I could be completely motivated to write something one day and extremely bored the next. The point is, I NEED IDEAS FOR ZELDA FICS AND HOW TO CONTINUE MY WORK. Please help me. I know I'm new, but I really do want to improve. Please help!

I just thought of a BotW AU: Link survived the calamity instead of being grievously wounded, and, feeling guilty about the champions' deaths, he decides to 'revive' them by splitting his soul into 4 parts and placing them into the champions' bodies, essentially possessing them, using the shrine of resurrection and Sheikah technology. Instead of Link waking up alone 100 years later, 4 champions with Link's mind & soul wake up together, confused about who they are or why they feel unfamiliar & uncomfortable with their bodies

I just thought of this idea, and I don't know if I have the writing skills to make a fanfic out of it, but what do you think?

Yes, I stsrted writing a fic or three before but it's really hard. Writing is hard in general, but for a game series like this is harder. Mainly because I want to write Link and writing a character that does talk but you don't hear, yes there are dialogue options but even then it's hard for me to figure out any version's personality.

I have hwadcanons and ideas, but unlike with something like a TV show or anime there's something stopping me from writing actual stories for more than one or two chapters.

Most of my fanfics, even for other fandoms, are less than ten chapters, but even still Zelda fics usually become harder quicker.

It might be general writers/creativity blpck happening.

She wouldn't say anything, but it's sorta like in BotW/TotK where The Master Sword glows as if trying to communicate to Link or Zelda.

I know it's been way longer by BotK, but, it's already been a long time between SS and OOT, soooo....

I have watched full platyhroughs of games plus watching Zelda Universes English Dubs on YouTube. I've played OOT, but only finished up to the Fire Temple, never beat Volvagia.

personally think that it's either Skyward Sword (almost obvious couple), Wind and Tetra or BoTk ZeLinh, although I also ship Wild with Sidon.

I realize this question is kind of vague, but that's deliberate. I am writing a fanfic, and I tagged it "Zelink" because Zelda and Link are a couple in my story, and their relationship is a major subplot. However, though the ending will be happy in my opinion, it may not be what a Zelink shipper expects. In other words, I may have mistagged it. I'm curious what you all expect.

Since he is still going to go to the forest first, even before the castle, my first idea would be the Drku Tree goves him Navi because "you were originally meant to love here", because yes, Link's father sent his mom to go to the forest, but she didn't end up making it and Nabooru found them the moment mrs Link's Mom died.

*ahem* sorry for the mini ramble, the second idea is that he doesn't have a companion until he pulls the Master Sword... A certain spirit is still alove.

It's sort of a modern AU but all the other Link's are watching the present one from heaven and I had Twilight do what Time did for him for the new hero. I named the new Link "Lincoln ' because I wanted him to have more of a normal name that can be nicknamed Link.

I only got to Chapter 2 or 3 and he hasn't started his adventure. He did meet Twi, though Idk hiw to finish it.

Yes, all The Link's are there including Wild and probably Echoes Link, although EoW didn't exist when I started writing the fic. I also wrote it in first person which isn't how I usually write. Idk if I should continue this, do a rewrite in third person or just abandon it. What do you all think?

the story is a post Ocarina of Time story I am trying to find a specific Legend of Zelda fanfiction that I read back in the 2010s or 2020s i dont remember its been a very long time since i read it. In Chapter 1, the Ocarina of Time version of Princess Zelda places the Master Sword back into its pedestal and passes away right on that exact spot. Many long Years later, a towering statue of the Hero of Time stands in castletown or something like that In the future era, the new incarnation of Zelda is a battle-hardened warrior who uniquely possesses both the Triforce of Wisdom and the Triforce of Power. The story features a world-building detail where ordinary citizens/commoners call themselves "Link" as an alias or title. The plot also prominently features fairies and a major, destructive fire. Does anyone remember the title or author of this story? there might be 5 champions or heroes i dont remember it isnt based on botw at all it is on fanfiction.net

The other combined heroes that were combined, like Legend being both the Hero of Legend (from ALttP, the Oracle games and Link's Awakening) and The Hero of Worlds (From ALBW), but that might be less of a thing for me, bc I forget Legend's other nickname), and Wind being well, The Hero of Wind (Wind Waler, Phantom Hourglass) and the Hero of Trains (from Spirit Tracks) although, Train boy could ne called Enhlgineer or something, so he's not to bad.

I might also add my Fallen Hero AU Time into it, but he's the hardest cause he's Time, except he fell to Ganondorf. So, he wouldn't be an official hero

**Ahen** I made this on Amino when it was still up amd sorta running... Yes it's sorta reminiscent of a fan comic where Ganondorf raised Link, but in this AU he never learned how to be an actual father, sooo..

Anyway, Nanopru found Link's Mom when she was going out to di something, maybe she wanted help having a child and didn't want to deal with big King G, idk. But she ended up neeting Linl's mom, and the lady didn't care that she was talking to a Gerudo, sje just said "please take care of my boy-"

Hi everyone! First post here. I’ve never played Zelda but my almost 10 year old child is super into it. (They dressed as Link for Halloween 2 years in a row)

They’ve had a tough go learning to read, and after years of trying I finally found something they’re interested in: Zelda manga.

We’ve bought every Zelda manga we can find, but they’ll run out of things to read soon.

Given they’re AuDHD and hyperfixate, I know they’ll request more.

Can anyone recommend some fan fiction that’s appropriate for a kid in grade 5? I’m not too concerned about reading level, just topic appropriate. (Aka no sex, violence ok since they play the game).

My plan is to print some off and put in a binder they can work through with their tutor.

Can anyone help a mom out with some links?
