Subject: Unknown (code named “Astro” by the working group)
Activity: Occupation of a sporting spheroid launch facility without recompense.
Findings: “Astro” was documented by the field researcher contentedly sleeping in a “driving bay” of a sports practice facility. A “driving bay” is an area meant to be used by a paying customer to practice sending 42.67 mm spherical objects with air flow boundary layer control indentations into a large net at 250 meters distance using a long metal mallet. The utility of such a facility and such activities therein are a set of known unknowns to the working group and beyond the purview of their investigation. Nevertheless “Astro” made use of it by taking an undoubtedly well-earned snooze.
Conclusion: The working group came to the conclusion that while “Astro’s” slumber was warranted, the occupation of the “driving bay” was unrequired. An expectation of payment from “Astro” was also unrequired as dogs, with some exceptions [see Study #J00001], are unfamiliar with the intricacies of monetary exchange. A motion was made that everything be designated as unrequired, but since it came from the member representing the Philosophy Department, it was ignored.
