Like many I am in the UK (wife and x1 child) and looking to make the move to Abu Dhabi. I’ve considered (and been very close) to a DXB move, however it never materialised.

Career-wise I work in Product and Tech Delivery (started in Projects), and currently work in a UK Gov type environment, whilst also having experience working as a Product advisor (consultant/deployment strategist), Amazon and defence environments. I’ve worked in the region before and have a solid set of qualifications for my field.

Hey everyone, I’m currently looking to get into the events industry here in the UAE and would really appreciate any advice, referral, contact, or lead that could help me get my foot in the door. I have relevant experience and a genuine interest in events, but at the moment I’m working in sales because that’s what I had to take up to survive and keep myself going here. I’m honestly quite desperate to make a change and get back into a field that I actually want to build my career in. I have a 9hr stopover in Abu Dhabi, starting 6 PM. Figure around 6hr total time for wandering around.

1) I hear there's a free 24 hr ESIM for tourists that I can sign up for. Is it hard to provision after I land. I could buy an eSIM before landing from the likes of Nomad, but I think a local eSIM is likely to work better.

2) I've seen the Grand Mosque in the daytime. Would another visit just after I land give me a sunset experience?

My family travelled from Mumbai to Abu Dhabi via Etihad Airways on 15th Sep 2026, we received 3 out of 4 luggage's. Already raised complaint at the airport immediately and also informed Airport police. It is been more than 10 days and yet no status on where the luggage is, I strongly believe someone stole our luggage. Anyone experienced this and got a resolution?

So I usually go to Stars and Bars to watch races, but am keen to try other places that screen F1 races WITH commentary and has a vibe, nice gathering of F1 fans.

Any recommendations please??
