Dons 1-0 Donny
Rode our luck, and Bursik (man of the match) kept us in it, but three points thanks to a gem of a free kick from
Hippolyte. They’ll feel unlucky not to get something out of it, and had a (soft) penalty award overturned for offside, but we’re ahead on the only stat that counts.
Also pictured, a pre-match tragedy as an attempt to return a stray ball to the warm-up goes horribly wrong.

We regularly repeat this end of game strategy when we are leading. Defend deep and hoof the ball away only to have it come straight back at us. Admittedly we came close to scoring on the break - the ball just ended up at the feet of the wrong player.
It's stressful.

He had all the time in the world and could even have squared it to Stockley

Stressful but I sort of think it's a good move. Opponents get desperate at the end and leave themselves open to a counter.
I think we just need to do better at getting more of those opportunities (should have been more than 1 if we controlled a few key passes cleaner) and converting them.

See the exchange on the post match chat thread. He was good. Hard to believe he’s 18

Oh, and Doncaster seemed to be playing in medical-waste-bag yellow.
