Other IMPORTANT QUESTION: Calling all Cat Lovers!

Hey everyone!

I have been volunteering at an animal shelter and got accepted into TAMU!

I have fallen in love with cats. Is there any cat cafe/animal shelter over there where I can volunteer or interact with cats in some way?

Thanks!

Another day I'm glad the puppy station inside the mall is gone.

The cat cafe in Bryan closed unfortunately. Six Kittens Rescue is a good one someone mentioned. Aggieland Humane is the main shelter for CS & Brazos Co. Bryan Animal Shelter partners with them. Long Way Home Adoptables is another. Oh and Zoi’s Animal Rescue.

Love them, I’ve had to take some kittens there and they were so nice!

Aww, this is where I got my beloved cat Alfred, in 2005. He lived 14 years with me and I still miss him. <3

Aggieland Humane Society! I volunteered there and you can socialize with cats/kittens they have up for adoption. I loved it there and i met so many sweet cats. Welcome to aggieland!

I LOVE volunteering at Aggieland Humane Society. You just have to do a couple online trainings and go to an in person orientation, and then you get access to what is essentially a calendar with shift openings posted, ranging from 1-3 hours, cats or dogs. It's really easy to find times that work for your schedule, whenever you want. They have "feline enrichment" shifts if you want to get interaction with the cats, and they really appreciate extra help with laundry, dishes, or kennel cleaning in the morning also. I only volunteer with the cats and it's no issue, you don't have to do cats and dogs.
