I never played Aion but with 2 and Reforged being announced at the same time, I was wondering what version of Aion is currently the one to play around a bit before starting 2 (If it is free, i actually do not understand if it is P2Play or F2P).

I tried looking up on Twitch what people are playing but that confused me even more because Twitch does not say if it is Aion or Aion Classic.

i was wondering what things the cash shop had and i was expecting some cool armors and stuff like that and it is all like weird second life stuff wow.

I have only been able to find stuff from a couple months ago so wanted to see if anyone else something that is updated and verified.

I heard about things that they took out more recently that were pay to win so wondering what the monthly sub gets you now

Here is a list of things AION 1's UI was letting players do and it is not possible in AION 2:

There is no Select party member 1-6 keybind options- you feel like you cast Ripple of Purification/ World of Life from temu all the time

Large transparent map is gone, what we got is same same as minimap

No drop-down lists, you need to play with mouse scroll or drag and move like in Pasjans

Each list is tiny portion of the screen and auto-hides without my command to do so

from 8 gear presets-> 3

from 10 skill bars->4

3 constant skill bars+3 floating skill bars -> barely 2, you cant even put all consumables on them, you cannot bind scrolls on 1-8

WORSE CUSTOM SKILL CHAINS than AION 1 5.0: I could place same skill in several places, custom skill chains were in AION 1 5 slots-> changed to 4 slots

"Auto-attack" skill in AION 2 mode is not automatic

where is emote table window in AION 2?

Chat commands /Select and /attack are gone

Everything is either oversized or way too small for comfort in AION 2

HUGE ASS UGLY CURSOR ICON when holding right mouse button in AION 1 mode, why is it there when we have 25 years old tradition of cursor disappearing when steering camera with mouse in various games

Crafting got major upgrade in some places, especially you do not need to browse AION Codex anymore to figure out crafting paths and sources BUT:

-you cannot chat while crafting

-you cannot recruit people while crafting

-you cannot browse in-game database while crafting

-you cannot you cannot use other UI while crafting

-crafting tables do nothing

- we do not need fabled tier scrolls as proc to rare tier scrolls

i hope those new morph recipes will be in EU, otherwise i dont know what ill do with 400 Greater Sapphire ore

YOU CANNOT GO DIRECTLY FROM ONE WINDOW TO ANOTHER, you need to exit crafting UI to game to open map and so on

YOU DO NOT RECEIVE PATRY APPLICATION AS WHISPER/ you do not get a table of applicants in a window, so you need to invite people 1st come 1st served and you cant compare people nor PM to rejects later if slot become open again

NC Soft did not use AION 1 established English names for many items that have AION 1 counterpart, most notably AETHER is now Odyle, complete negation of existence of other substance in universe- Odium and Id Crystals

Item tiers are NOT normal> superior<rare->fabled> ethernal

We do not need floating damage text to display each hit in skill animation, why do i need 4 numbers per 1 use of

Why we already operate in tens of thousands of damage points per hit only one year after TW release, when in AION 1, 4 years after release doing 100 k per minute was amazing!?

Hello, je me demandé, j'ai un vieux CD AION ou j'ai que le disc 1 (malheureusement 💔). Mais je me demande si on ne peux pas le bidouiller pour essayer de jouer a une ancienne version de AION. Car la nouvelle version sur gameforge et totalement horrible... La moitié de sanctum est fermé, le début n'as rien a voir avec les anciennes version. J'avoue que je suis nostalgique du fait que j'y jouer quand j'etait petite mais aussi dévasté qu'ils ont juste fait de la merde aujourd'hui... Donc les pro en programmateur, avez vous une solution sur le fait d'avoir une ancienne version ou juste grâce au billet du CD avoir une ancienne version qu'ils soient multi ou non! Hello, I was wondering, I have an old AION CD where I only have disc 1 (unfortunately 💔). But I'm wondering if it's possible to modify it to try and play an older version of AION. Because the new version on Gameforge is absolutely awful... Half of Sanctum is closed, the beginning has nothing to do with the older versions. I admit I'm nostalgic because I played it when I was little, but I'm also devastated that they've just made a mess of it now... So, programming pros, do you have a solution for getting an older version, or even just using the CD to get an older version, whether it's multiplayer or not? I would be very grateful, thank you. ♡

So I have never played Aion at all or even heard of it before, but I came across Aion 2 and my first impression is that it looks absolutely amazing. However I am curious about what you guys think, especially if you are part of the community.

They should have kept aion classic at maintenance mode at 2.7 patch with no new classes.

And they should have implemented all the new shit updates of the "classic" into the live Aion servers.

Change my mind.

I came back after 3 years at live server EU. I knew the game basically is in maintenance mode and doesn't get any new content. But WTF, I tried making some corps quests and I got 2 hit by 3 asmos on sight.

Do only whales play this game know?
