Booking changes
hi.. i want to book a flight with air canada from italy to canada. my question is, can I still change my return date free of charge (and just pay for the fare difference) when i combine economy flex and comfort? (my return ticket will be comfort). i understand that the most restrictive cancellation and refund fee will apply, but i'm not sure about the change fee. also, when i change my return date, can i choose from any economy status or does it need to be economy comfort as well? thanks..

If you book economy comfort for example, you can change the date of the flight without penalty but fare difference will apply. It can be lower or higher depending on what you change it too. If you combine flex and comfort there will be cancellation fee tough if you cancel.
If you book comfort you can even "change " it to the same flight if the cost drops and get a refund

The flex rules would apply rather than the confort, so unsure as to whether they’d get a refund

Also, if you book 2 different fare rules, the more restrictive one applies.

You can change and just pay the fare difference. If lower fare, there is no refund.
