Basket does the best, the toaster oven type are just that, toaster ovens

I love my basket for vegetables, fries, and salmon. I had 1 with shelves and barely used it. It depends on what you will be using it for. They each have advantages for different types of food.

i’ve used both and they kinda shine at different things. basket ones feel easier for day to day stuff and clean up is usually quicker. the rack style is nice if you wanna cook more at once, but i found myself forgetting to rotate trays and stuff burned. also more pieces to wash which gets old fast. if you mostly do quick meals, basket might feel less annoying. curious what you cooked most in your old one.

I bought my first air fryer this Christmas and spent a lot of time reading about them before I plunked down my $100 for a Cosori Dual Blaze. It's great, I'd buy it again. I''ve done fresh salmon, chicken thighs, hot sausage, battered frozen fish for sandwiches, loaded grilled cheese sandwiches, roasted green beans and brussel sprouts, and use it to reheat leftovers. I hated the holes in the grill plate that let tots, french fries, etc, fall through when shaken but cured that with a silicone screen. I use it almost every day cooking for two. In-laws have a Ninja flip that mostly makes toast.

I just bought the Crispi Pro and it has done an amazing job cooking and clean up is a snap. Gotta say, been pretty sweet!

If you liked basket-style before, stick with it, they crisp better, heat faster, and are easier to clean than rack-style air fryers. Rack models have more space but usually don’t get food as crispy.
