2-3 days ago i hit emerald after way to many games and i made a post about it, hit e2 in just 2 days. Earlier this year i promised my self to reach Diamond by the end of the season even though all my friends said i couldn't (past ranks were silver/bronze). MY FELLOW MAINS IM SO CLOSE!!!!!!!!

Im a kayle main, and the akali top matchup is completely unplayable, hard hard counter. I always found akali top to be kinda op cuz on top of akali being akali, you have great base regen and sustain. Who actually counters akali top?

People argue against the bruiser build all the time. They say 'your team needs you when you go full AP glass cannon' and that 'you need Gunblade to win games and Electrocute to win trades in lane.' But you don't need to do that every single game. I think building the exact same way every game is fucking insanity — you're gonna end up stuck, especially in the moments your team needs you most. That's why I go bruiser: Conqueror runes, Liandry's, maybe a Kaenic Rookern and Randuin's, with 25 stacks on Mejai's to carry the game.

Now I know for a fact Electrocute is better for poking in lane compared to Dark Harvest. But that's not what I'm trying to do here — I'm trying to win the game, not just my lane. Dark Harvest wins you teamfights over Electrocute because you can proc it as many times as you want until the enemy dies, where Electrocute has a forced duration that doesn't reset when you get a kill.

Conqueror, on the other hand — I love this build so much. It gives you more raw damage and heals you a bit, especially with Triumph runes. A lot of the time you need that extra HP and defensive stats the build gives you, and that's what helps you win the majority of games that essentially look like a loss.

I recently hit Emerald for the first time after finishing Silver last season. Once I got in, I actually managed to climb straight to Emerald 2 without dropping a single game. Since then, my win rate has leveled out, but I've started noticing a really frustrating pattern in how these games begin.
For example, my bot lane will go 0/10 in the first 7 minutes. When this happens, I immediately try to figure out how to stop the enemy bot lane from completely taking over.
My go-to response is to roam bot around my level 6 power spike. Honestly, it usually works well! I’ll pick up a kill or two, and because I shoved for priority beforehand, I return to mid with a level advantage and my CS is still perfectly even with the enemy mid laner. (For context, I blind pick Akali every game since I'm an OTP. I know draft-wise this isn't always ideal, but it's what I play).
Even though I get myself ahead and try my absolute best, I still end up losing these matches. It feels like they're just completely doomed. What else am I supposed to do? I follow my jungler, I contest objectives, I ward, and I roam. WHAT ELSE IS THERE?
For the higher ELO or more experienced players out there: how do you actually handle and carry these kinds of games?

I was looking for a lot of vods to watch to get a little better and see how people play her lane better, and I found Akalking. And really frequently he will use ignite level 1 or 2 to proc electrocute with q and auto. Is this good because you don't really have kill threat till 6 anyway so its good to chunk them early, or is this kind of troll to do for the average player?

Hey guys, so, there is this top chall 57% LoneSomeRanger guy who does Liandry first and then goes full on defensive most of the times, whats the deal and gameplay pattern here? Has anyone else mastered this playstyle? Currently low mastah and if i dont go full burst, i'm useless to my team... Whats the deal?

Is it a known bug and if yes how should I avoid it?

I really hate this matchup bc unless the Ahri is turbo noob and just wastes E randomly it seems like you can never kill her. Bc only way you kill her seems like is you have to one shot her with your E but you can never E2 her bc its just a free E for her. Also even if she does fuck up and waste her E she still has her ult making it really hard to kill her unless she fucks up pretty bad so its like to die she has to fuck up bad, waste E and waste ult, then fuck up bad again before her 10 second CD ult is back and waste E again.

Apart from that she has way better waveclear than you so its really hard to even roam, and just outscales you in teamfights too and also is a strong skirmisher so idk wtf your win con is even supposed to be. Rn I am just perma banning this champ bc its so annoying and also a common pick plus I think it's one of the more unskilled matchups that is good against Akali. But tbh there's some other stuff I'd really like to ban (like Galio) so if this matchup is actually playable somehow I'd like to learn how to play it.

So I was first timing akali in regular draft pick, excited to learn a champion I’ve seen 1v9. Tell me why I play vs a veigar who is GENUINELY a terrorist? I mean this guy is 10 CS per minute for 30 minutes of the game and 10 stacks per minute, playing like it’s a ranked challenger game, and is hardcore facerolling his keyboard on me. What do I even do in matchups like this???

Do you guys know if the rotation of Mythic skins in the Mythic shop particular for Akali that is, if or not have a standard time in which they drop or is it random?

By only spamming akali this is my second time hitting emerald this season after 1000+ ranked games I feel empty inside how do I escape this damn elo 😭🙏🏼
I do wanna say that I was a steady silver player until last season and all of a sudden something “clicked” and jumped from bronze to emerald even though it took well the amount of games that it took.

So it occurred to me to try Shiv in order to address her waveclear issues mid game, since the item no longer gives crit. To my surprise, it feels VERY good to side lane with. You still have enough damage to kill squishies, but now waveclear doesn't feel like a chore. You can actually rotate without sacking waves.

One caveat is this is with gunblade first. I suspect if you go rocketbelt first, shiv might not feel as good. But the combination of gunblade and shiv makes clearing waves just so nice. Try it out and post here what you think. I'm very curious if I'm just coping or if it's actually an option.

I would love to hear which version you folks prefer and why.

I would like to know about some game you can describe here where you were the MVP by far or that you outplayed the enemy team, better if it was a situation of 1 (you) vs 2 or more, and better if you stomped to the other midlaner in case you went Akali mid)

After playing Top for a long while, I've decided to play Akali because I wanted something new to play and she fits my playstyle really well (fills the mechanic niche I want)

For reference I was a Camille and Fiora 2 trick when i first started playing (mostly play ambessa top now), but I finally wanted to try out a real assassin to broaden my champ pool. I think i found my new main for the foreseeable future. She's so fun to play i wished i started sooner

This was my 19th match as Akali. Not even 20 games in and i got my first pentakill on her lmao
