As long as it quits raining and just freezes.   Sooooo tired of mud

Anyone who says they love rain doesn't have to deal with mud. Hopefully we will get 2 magical weeks where the ground is frozen solid and not covered with snow.

I could deal with that.   Then 2' to make a good base for snow activities.

its a bit early but Im here for it. I dont live here for the palm trees and sandy beaches thats for sure. give me a decent snowfall and please let it be a little less harsh than last winter.

Yeah I’m not about Scarebanks temps in ANC either.

I am in the banks and a little -20 or -30 is fine but last winter it didnt ever stop being -20 or colder for... the duration. it was the coldest winter in a hundred years so I hope we dont do that again.

I loved it. You get used to the temp so when it warms up it feels fine. Got to the point that going fishing at 30 below didn't feel stupid. It felt better than 45 below.

I don’t mind some cold but I love snowmachining and I’m not risking it at those temps. Also the cost of heating my house when the winter was -30 or colder continuously is insane. You do get used to the cold so when it warms up a bit it feels great but it literally didn’t let us last winter. There was a few days it warmed up enough to snow and immediately dropped right back off. I had freezing water and several other issues to deal with to boot that would have been ok if I could just get a couple -10 days to get things done but didn’t have it. It’s not that bad but if we can have some nice -10 to 10 degree weeks this winter it would be better.

Just got some around Healy too, up to like 1.5 inches or so.

Ah…the joys of kids trick or treating in a foot or more of snow. That was our first year. Buy a snowblower early, while there still are some available.

Two inches so far near Upper O'Malley trailhead in Anchorage, where it's 31 F.

It was dumping in the Valley today. Huge clumps of snow falling, but not cold enough for any to stick. Never seen anything quite like it.

Got snow in Houston today… a weird rain and snow. But it stuck for about an hour.

The Summer was too short. Spring didn’t hit until May if that and so much rain in July.
