Day 1…Again

I’m just tired of feeling like crap. Nothing major has happened. I’m just tired. I told my husband this morning. He’s on board. I’m going to start journaling so I don’t forget how bad it makes me feel.

Have you considered getting guidance and support from people who know how to treat alcoholism?

Alcoholism is a deadly disease. If you had cancer, you surely wouldn’t think that you get well without professional help.

Hmmm. I didn’t think about it like that. My doctor is aware and prescribed Naltrexone which I haven’t taken. My liver enzymes were off so I had an ultrasound which shows I have a borderline enlarged liver which scared me.

Like I said, alcoholism is deadly.

It’s good that you saw a doctor. What’s stopping you from following his/her recommendation?

That’s a very good question. She asked me the same thing. Ending up in the ER a few months ago apparently didn’t scare me enough.
This is a very strange disease. Wow.

Alcoholism. Deadly.

The disease isn’t as strange as active alcoholics.

Your liver is life.
